I got a LOT of requests for this piece, a favorite of many Final Fantasy fans! The melody is so beautiful and calm. This arrangement is very pretty, although my personal opinion is that there could be more to it. Because the piece is so quiet, you may hear some background noise in the audio, of which I do apologize! I'm working on making my sound quality better :) Please enjoy this lovely piece

Since this was my first Final Fantasy, this song is the first Final Fantasy song I ever heard. It has been an incredible journey and this will always remain one of my favorites.

You should check out Nobuo Uematsu's band - "The Black Mages". While not piano, it's his metal/rock versions of his songs, and his version of "The Skies Above" is not to be missed. Also, "Dancing Mad" (Final Fantasy 6; Kefka battle) is not to be missed, either...

This is literally the only song that makes me cry every, single, time. The piece conveys the sadeness of what Yuna must shortly do, yet the hope she brings and the determination of her will that carries not only herself, but her guardians as well. Nobuo captured the moment absolutely perfectly in song to the point where no dialogue is even needed and it shows by how little there is in the Zanarkand scene.

Absolutely the best interpretation I’ve ever heard, perfect tempo and loudness to catch the emotion. I just started learning piano 6 months ago. this really showed how dramatic the difference is with expert vs beginner. I’ve spent 200+ hours just practicing this piece and I can play it pretty good but nowhere near as smooth as you.

I love the way you go into the main bit at 1:07 without a pause. So many renditions put a little break there as if to try and show emotion but all they end up doing is losing the momentum from the arpeggio. It's so satisfying to hear you drop straight into it without stopping.

This one hit's me hard, back then i convinced my brother to play. We were living in different cities, he used to pass by so i could help him with the sphere grid. Next month will be 11 years since he passed away and this song bring a lot of fond memories.

Now here's a game that I've poured DAYS of my life into. The sweet narrative between Tidus and Yuna that grows over time is a masterpiece of story telling. Your playing really sells the tragic sadness that goes along with this song. Well played ma'am, very moving.

So many times Nobuo Uematsu plays with the quiet amongst the flurry. This is what makes his songs stand the test of time. Yes, you could blast through with powerful cords time and again, but when you pause to feel the emotion you really feel what is going on and feel the power of a well-built song.

Awesome version of this track! It's one of my favorites from Final Fantasy X, and any Final Fantasy. Listened to this just now during the middle of a lightning storm. The flashes and thunder really added to the emotional depth of the piece.

How do I like this again? Expertly played. Most people play this in a an ethereal way, but the song is meant to be a crescendo of hopelessness. The perfect song to encapsulate someone struggling with finding a way to save the person they love.

This is such a beautiful piece and you play it so well. I recently found this channel and I am in awe of your talent. This song though... it just hits differently! I had never played this game until about a year ago and it just resonated with me, like a comforting song I knew from the past. It hits even harder once you as the player in the game come full circle back to Zanarkand. You do it such justice. Thank you for what you give us all with your amazing gifts!

This arrangement is one of the best songs ever to exist for a Final Fantasy, and it fits the environment of the game perfectly, especially the atmosphere of the events in which this plays! Thank you for this one so very much Kara! This is perfect!! This is one of the few songs on a Final Fantasy that (nearly) brought a tear out off my eye! You should totally one day play the Dancing Mad masterpiece from Final Fantasy VI! (Though repetitive in some parts I think it would be a challenge since it is composed of four totally different movements) I wish I could have you teach me piano one day..! How lucky those who learn from you!

Kara, I've been subbed for a fair amount of time but I always find myself coming back to this and Terra's Theme. You're playing inspired me to take up piano a year or so ago. This one is next. Thank you for making a grown man feel so many things.
