In this video I ran through Athens to find the home of Olympiacos FC, the Karaiskakis Stadium. I'll give you some information about the team and the stadium as well as taking you inside the club shop.
It's actually a really cool looking stadium. I wish they did stadium tours here! Hopefully one day I can watch a game here featuring Olympiacos and another team from the Greek Superleague!

Olympiacos works with the government this is the reason they have won 45 times the Greek league trophy The best team in Greece is Panathinaikos which it played on the final of champions league in 1971 and has more trophies

@@stefanakisretric72 previous century football has nothing to do with modern age organization. Panathinaikos has 237 ranking in UEFA and Olympiacos 35. Olympiacos is 200 times stronger.

When we get back to normal and fans return at the stadiums,you should come at a matchday at Karaiskakis,(If it's against Panathinaikos,AEK or PAOK it will be even better,because the atmosphere is electrical!!)Hope we see a video from you at our team's stadium again

Actually this isn't Athens but Piraeus. Piraeus is not an Athenian suburb but a totally different city, is the 3rd biggest city in Greece, behind Athens and Thessaloniki, with it's own metropolitan area. Piraeus city population is approx. 170k while the metro population is approx. 500k. However it's true that Athens metro and Piraeus metro combined make up the Athens LUZ so probably that's why most foreigners are confused.

Thanks for the promotion. Btw new Karaiskakis stadium wasn't renovated....old Karaiskakis was taken apart completely and they build the new one all the way from the foundations until the end.

I think were the Bridge to the Metro- and Tram-station is, you get a good view to inside the Stadion, i seem to remember!

My friend, the video is very beautiful, but the headquarters of Olympiacos and stadium are not in Athens but in Piraeus, for the Latins porto leone,because in antiquity at the entrance of the port he had two lions.

Come to thesalloniki to see the Kleanthis Vikelidis stadium.In this stadium the team that plays is Aris Thesallonikis.Is small stadium but it has the craziest fans!

The new karaiskakis stadium was built in 2004 there was a reconstruction not a renovation there is a difference and it is one of the most modern football stadiums not only in Greece but in Europe

Hope you enjoyed our stadium, even though brief and uneventful. Come back when Covid is over so you can experience the full spectrum of what our club and fans have to offer. From the pre game coffees and visits to our museum and memorial ground for the victims of the Gate 7 tragedy, to eating what we call (a dirty sandwich) after the game and of course the intense feeling being in this palace we call home. You will definitely leave with an increased level of testosterone

Try visiting the AEK's stadium in Athens. It will be finished until the next year so I would recommend you to visit it then.

Its not Athens. Its in Piraeus. Team of Athens is panathinaikos. Olympiakos are at port. Not at acropolis.
