This video comprises of a drive through the Karakoram highway which is the highest paved road in the world (15400 feet above sea level) and is called by many as "The eighth wonder of the world". The highway stretches 1300 kms within Pakistani borders and connects Punjab province to the provinces of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. The Karakoram highway passes through the mighty Karakoram mountains and is also called the "killer highway" as it is responsible for the deaths of dozens of people every year due to massive landsliding and bad weather conditions. The highway also comprises of the highest border crossing in the world, Khunjerab pass (Pak-China border) which is situated at a height of 15400 feet above sea level. This makes Karakoram highway the highest paved road in the world. This video was made during my October 2021 family trip to the northern areas of Pakistan using Gopro Hero 8.
