The fact that she thinks it's normal for parents to call their children names....Trauma is real. I was physically, emotionally, and verbally abused as a child and I had to un learn alot of what I internalized as "normal".Therapy literally changed my life and allowed me to heal. I refuse to pass on that generational trauma to my baby, it stops with me.

When the mom rolled her eyes when the daughter started crying I knew that mom didn’t want to change a single thing about their relationship. Maybe it would be for the best if they cut contact.

Her Mom has been in survival mode for so long I can see she has a hard wall up when emotions and feelings have to be acknowledged. I pray healing for both of them. Her Mom apologizing was a huge breakthrough for the daughter.

Her being dismissive is disturbing and reflects her low self worth. It doesn’t matter if it’s old it’s valid. It’s not her daughter’s fault her mom wasn’t around but it’s still her responsibility to heal and not pass on that trauma. Wishing them all the best.

The mama almost had me until she rolled her eyes at the end. Lord as someone that had a toxic relationship with their mother, therapy. Just work on healing yourself. It’s so hard to deal with that while they are alive and after they are gone ❤️. I hope the daughter can continue to see that the mom got her own issues and they both just need to do some self healing. And if one won’t, take the next steps to keep yourself safe.

My anger issues would not allow me to let my mother talk to me like that cause at that point she would be no one to me so I'd walk her like a dog with no remorse. I know that's harsh but I got two boys and a girl on the way. I don't care how old my kids get, I'm their father and will do whatever to see them succeed in life. I'm a firm believer in giving people grace and space. It is clear that the mother has lots of unhealthy learned behaviors, that became normal to her. She can't unlearn all of those traits in a one hour sitting. The daughter is giving her mother a second chance. She could change with guidance. Karmo, you are changing lives. Im so grateful for my wonderful mother. I can't imagine how I would be without her. She is very emotionally intelligent and kind to me. She cares for me so much. She has helped me with my mental health. She even takes steps to get help for herself. It's unfortunate that we all couldn't have the parents we deserve.

I finally pulled the plug on the relationship. Most of my mysterious aches and pains went away during this time. Mothers, please I beg you, think before you speak.

I know a lady that talk to her daughter just like she did got all in her face, blaming her daughter for everything, made her daughter apologize to her when she was the one in the wrong, always talked bad about her daughter, always called her daughter evil demon child. The daughter doesnt fool with her til this day.

The way her mom talked to her is beyond me . I would never talk to my babies like that ! They need some serious counseling it’s a lot of pain in the situation. I believe that the mom doesn’t want her daughter to be weak and stand on her own two feet but she is going about it all be wrong way . This is too toxic

I have watched and watched and watched this man’s shows religiously for months-and he ALWAYS amazes me with his loving advice. He’s awesome.

Just look at the mom’s facial expressions during the last segment. I’ve experienced this. Mom’s only crying and getting emotional because she being forced to deal with things that she doesn’t want to deal with and doesn’t care about. The looking up when she apologized…the rolling her eyes when her daughter said that she’s never apologized before…these are clear indicators that mom doesn’t care and is probably never going to care.
