indeed. 1984 was THE BEST year in the 80s for movies though. 1986 close contender. 1988 will always be my favorite '80s year' but 1984 if you look at what movies came out, that year wins it. 1984 was THE BEST year for movies in the 80s decade despite the fact two of my fave 80s movies of all time ( Predator and Diehard) came out later. Karate Kid Ghostbusters Never Ending Story The Terminator Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Gremlins Supergirl Revenge Of The Nerds .. Need I say more ?

I am completely aware that the entire premise of Karate Kid continuation in the age of modern LA tent-cities and wherin even Century City is replete with sidewalk tent-cities, is strange, Im still invested into suspension of disbelief to allow the all-valley karate tournament with 25 year olds masquerading as 17 year olds making my 80s dreams come true. Cobra Kai is fucking awesome.

WHAT A SHOW WHAT A SHOW WHAT A SHOW THIS IS - I caught on it late, but grew up watching the Karate Kid flicks , so great tribute vid this mate!🙂 The young actors are awesome but for me William Zabka and Ralph Macchio were just brilliant 😎👍

@@Aobix LoL... no chance bro. Mind you, reminds me of when me and a few mateys joked about an 'Indian dubbed' version of Terminator 2. The joke(s) didn't end there, we laughed off the idea of a badly dubbed Jurrasic Park in hindi... Anybody who attempts to dub Cobra Kai in Hindi should be arrested and put behind bars. 🙂

@@The-Great-Brindian oh so you watched Karate kid in tv. I thought during 90s only Hindi dubbed movies use to come on tv. I'm gen z kid so I didn't know much about that. Anyways I love karate kid all 3 movies and Cobra Kai. And I have watched Hindi dubbed version of karate kid 2 in mx player and honestly it sucks as hell. But I think Netflix has done pretty good job in Hindi dubbing of Cobra Kai.

As a child of the 80s who saw the movie when it came out and remembers the song too I say HELL FUCKING YES to this tribute!!!! I was in junior high when this movie came out. Love this saga, love the fact they’ve made a ‘tv’ sequel Cobra Kai and omg what a babe Ralph Macchio was. No surprise he was a major heartthrob. Now can someone combine Eye of The Tiger with Rocky/Karate Kid/Creed and Cobra Kai?! Please and thanks
