Yeah as if that would work in a real fight my opponent is gonna be standing still for me, in fact he’ll even give me a few tips while he’s standing still

That's actually pretty cool and amazing doing a sweeping takedown I just wish I could have had stayed in karate so I can improve from taking down in for my opponent and knocking them down where it hurts the most that's what I call a quick sweep takedown 🥋👊😉👍🥋

Just search best sweeps in mma compilation, its used a fair bit but most of the time it only lands once so its not worth watching the whole fight to see yanno

No it’s not, what’s the follow up to the takedown, your backs facing the opponent after, and unless you’re planning on knocking him out with that move, then you aren’t in any type of positional advantage.

Negativity for negativity sake doesn’t mean you know what you’re talking about. Any halfway decent grappler would see this and probably has 5 entries they use where this is a potential finish.

I have a move that I came up with it's really simple and very effective...step 1 wait for opponent to take a punch. Step 2. Side step . Step 3 grab opponents forward stretched arm at wrist while they are punching. Step 4 pull it to where you are now behind him. Step 5 back step on opponents leg behind knees this will cause opponent to drop to his knees making a clear shot to back of the head...I have used this technique many times

@@KB-cv7eh true and I learned boxing before jujitsu so I was mainly looking at it from if I was on defense from the leg sweep. He may get to my legs but his chin was looking at a goodnight shot.

do a faint or if you miss your jab you ram yourself into their hips. Use your momentum to knock off balance and lift their lead leg up. There are other specifics but that's the gist

Training mats are slippery. This wont work on street fights. Plus the size of your opponent determines if you can pull this off.

@@Hornet.919 yeah put if they’re in a compromised stance then why not just shoot the takedown? You putting your arm across their body basically gives them your back and if you can’t get your foot around quick enough, they’ll just pull you down. This move is very situational and it’s a situation that isn’t worth training for because it’ll never realistically happen.

@@PoosinP You could say the same thing about spinning elbows or backfists, flying knees, flying arm bars, etc. Those moves, like the one in the video, work. You simply choose when to do it based on your opponent and you set it up by implementing more standard moves like simple jabs and teeps.

no, it´s the hip you use. "Double sweep " cause you sweep both legs. Drive ypur hips, this is most important. No real work for the arm or leg. ;-)

That wouldn't work with a pro or even an amateur, if he tried to do that with me Id just jump back, he would have to be very close plus the guy that's being knocked down is terribly balanced and is literally standing straight and doesn't back away when trainer approaches
