I'd like to take advantage of the youtube comments to ask a few questions What is the rarity of new structures and their biome of appearance and does the fact of playing with "The Lost cities" mod can make it difficult for structures to appear, because apart from an ice mine near my Spawn point I can't find anything else (even in the mushroom biome where there is however a lot of infection). ? Thanks for the answers

Also not all infected creatures can easily one shot you with full diamond or netherite armor

Scape and run will always be top seeing as it is the true parasite mod for minecraft also scape and run is meant to be played with other mods

@@yardite5785It'll always hold a special place in my heart, but I have to admit it has its flaws. I've played the Sculk Horde mod, and... it just makes a lot more sense to me. The "curing" of parts of the infection using a mix of both vanilla and modded stuff makes a lot of sense, it's far more interesting than just "make tiny cure with parasite part bigger part bigger cure" It also feels right to me how it's a more block-based infection- despite the world being infinite, Parasites infect all parts of it equally, which just doesn't make sense. Flavour-wise, with the Parasites being entities that are completely foreign to vanilla, alien beings that are a scourge upon this world, I absolutely adore it, it follows through on that well, and I actually love that it doesn't generate structures, it makes it feel more immersive- but mechanically, it's lacking. A mod like Sculk Horde will have Graveminds that actually assess the threat level of both you and other mobs, while the creatures in Parasites just kinda run around infecting everything. The mobs do cool things, sure, but that's basically all it is- mobs that do cool things. In addition, despite needing other mods to function, it doesn't work very well with the mobs of other mods. Its Call of the Hive affects all mobs equally, whether they're a stage 5 Ice and Fire Ice Dragon, or a cow. You could be locked in a heated battle with something of another mod, then a Rupter jumps on it and both the dragon and all its drops are gone. It doesn't even have added compatibility with other mobs, either- while on the other hand, Sculk Horde can affect nearly all vanilla mobs, and even some mobs from Alex's Mobs and some other mods, while Parasites hasn't even finished its roster of vanilla mobs. In terms of flavour, uniquely challenging mobs, and the method by which infections start, I prefer Parasites. But in terms of balance, compatibility with other mods, block based infection, and general fun... I prefer anything *other* than Parasites.

It also pisses me off how the Parasites mod doesn't have subtitles. Like, come on, it takes about 5 minutes and would make the experience so much better for anyone with hearing or speech processing issues.

@@yardite5785I just can't get past that one thing- I know that balance-wise it's meant to be played with other mods, I entirely agree with that philosophy, makes it scarier which is good for a horror mod, but if it's meant to be played with other mods, then it should do SOMETHING for compatibility. Fighting a modded boss mob and it turns into a shitty little Complete Form for no apparent reason isn't fun, it isn't horrifying either, it's just annoying and immersion-breaking.

i wouldn't say that the mobs from run and scape don't have weaknesses since they are weak to fire, even though they can somehow adapt against an element that they are weak to. and besides, the mod creator of run and scape stated that it was meant to be played with other mods.

@@shadowcelebi3595That still isn’t enough. I remember seeing a video with draconic evolution installed, and the mobs ended up evolving to survive the weapons. Nothing like an infected cow with over 9000 hit points.

Hold up a sec... The "withering" mod would be soo cool. Although it would basically have the same idea as skulk horde. But I guess new mobs, items, and ways to fight the infection would be pretty cool.

Except it works in newer versions and is actually beatable in vanilla.
