Having found a internal leak on my Karcher K5 i decided to investigate what it could be and then see if it was something i could fix

Thanks for the tutorial, I have a K 5.68 with low pressure.. I will replace the cyl head. Take care..be safe. Cheers..

Maybe try running anti freeze through it before winter. A hose and funnel pouring it high above the unit should work

Note to all. Please don't pull away the outer casings like this man has. Some models have 'slide off' tabs and will break if you copy his method of tugging with force.

I'm not showing how to take a part I'm show the hassle I went through for no reason and enforsising that for this problem you should not take it apart in my way or your way, but please if your going to tell every one not to do something in a certain way give a video showing the correct way or your just stopping people doing anything

I took the one I got at a garage sale apart. It looks that the pressure cover peice is cracked. Paid $40 dishonest garage sale sellers. Is it worth fixing? 60cdn for the piece. And not sure if anything else leaks. Also not sure if I got some water in the motor side.

Hi thanks for your video I have a K5 that when engine is running water under pressure is bypassing the plastic piece to which the detergent pipe is attached , should there be high pressure on the internal side to do this or do I have another problem

I have the K5 Premium Eco unit and I'm trying to change the hose, it does not look like its a quick fit design, any ideas please. Thank you and great video

Iv got a k2 that seems to be leaking out the shampoo inlet. Dont seem to affect it to much pressure while but would be nice to fix any advice thankyou

Witam. Posiadam myjke Karcher k5 myjka działała normlanie lecz teraz gdy właczam slychac przygotowaniendo pracy natomiast po naciśnieciu pistoletu brak rekacji. Jedynie dziala gdy pistolet wcisne i włacze to wtedy jest oki. Jakies sugestie?

I gave one of them Karcher K5's away for free because it was leaking , £25 would have fixed it and these machines are about £300 plus new , i feel sick now haha

Yes and many are put in the skip that's why I thought it a good idea to show how to fix them but I'm no expert I just show what I learn as I fix mine

Karcher don't want their machines repaired, but because of the "right to repair law" they have to give information and spares for up to ten years, that does not mean they have to sell the spares at a reasonable price, after all they are plastic parts not made to last and not worth the price, this is the way they try to get you to buy a new machine. But what they don't think of is, when you get a bad reputation people stop buying your goods and Karcher is not as good as it used to be.@@dmgladden

Why did it leak,using cheap Chinese bits or is it meant to pack in I have scraped 2 units lesson learned

No it's as it was made but it's about how it's stored in winter as you can't fully drain them so if it freezes it can split things inside

Like the caveman style 😁 the other wheel literally broke off 😂 i just removed the yellow thing in the tire first and then rest of the tire just drops out no force needet
