Your video helped me decide between the K4 and K5. I opted for K5 in the end, I found decent offer so ended up costing around £60 more than the K4, plus the 3 year warranty compared to the the year on the K4. Im coming from a 15 year old K2 so hoping the difference is massive. Thanks!

In Australia there is a significant price difference but probably the sweet spot I reckon in the range in terms of specs but NOT value for money. I only have the k4 full control premium but wanted the k5

@@meteora8888 that was only because the K5 was on discount, then I got 10% off on top for my first order. If we're going by RRP, the difference is £120/230 Australia dollars which is a lot, I wouldn't have paid that much and would have also got the K4.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm currently spending ages trying to decide on a washer and I think I'm set on a Karcher. I was originally looking at the K4 Home @ £ 300 but now I can see the K5 home and car is £365 from Karcher UK, and you get the extra 1 year warranty so is it a no brainer. Decisions decisions! I had to laugh when I saw your face at the end :-)

Thanks for the review I am replacing an ancient Key/Alto Hobby which is sadly becoming uneconomical to repair after well over 30 years. I want a good powerful machine and the benefit I can see with Karcher is the popularity and ease of parts etc.

Sion, My K4 has finally packed up after a few years and I am getting the K5. K4 not poweful enough to clean concrete under trees in very wet and short summer Northern Ireland or Northern Scotland unless you literally spaced the work out over a few days with the more powerful thin lance that literally cleans inch by inch. What I absolutly hate about the K5 is that it has no hose drum which means to roll it for stotage you have to disconnect the lance. Today the K4 (which is now discontinued) price is £414

Hi, I must admit that the first thing I did was to connect the hose directly to the back and not have it going through the front faceplate. I hope your new K5 speeds up your jet hosing and I am sure it will . I literally can’t believe that the old K4 is now £414 . How much did you pay for the new K5 ??

I just got the K5 but think slightly swindled by the description "K5 Power Control" as they now do one with a cheaper lance which just shows the pressure and does not control the output pressure, you need to use a tool with variable flow rate to adjust the pressure. It even looks like it has four buttons. To get the one now with the LCD control on the lance you need the "Premium" version which now includes the hose on a reel.

Just bought the K5 classic from homebase £179 Same spec as the more expensive k5. Really pleased with it

Hi , i didn’t see the soap dispenser in the parts , does it not come with one , im sure it was standard in older models .

Just bought one today. I had hoped I would avoid any built in obsolesence by choosing a higher model, but might be wrong on that one. Would like to know more about Karcher's servicability. Building products with a finite lifespan and no replacement parts is disgraceful.

Sadly built in obsolescence is all too common these days . I cant answer your questions regarding Karcher servicing . If you find out let me know . Cheers Sion

@@DacooX360X when my Q4 failed, I took it to a man who is renowned for fixing those types of appliances. He flat out refused to fix it saying the parts are sealed most of them and the quality of metal is so bad that once you open them up or pull them apart they don’t really wanna go back together again.

I found it a pain to pull hose through the front then pulling it back to roll it back up any suggestions
