I went through this for years as a single mom with poor daughters and my mom always had a big Christmas Eve dinner and then we were supposed to go over her house Christmas morning to open presents and she would pressure me and to stay in the night. But even taking up all of Christmas Eve which started early and Christmas Day and I didn't have the guts to stand up for myself and say I want to do Christmas with my kids at my house. I didn't grow any balls till I was around 50. One of the reasons I always did it her way as a single mom with four kids she bought the majority of the Christmas presents

Wow I really understand why momma Chris feeling the way she feels. It's not about the party. Is about that all her children's are gone. So for her to have the party at her house she feels in control over all her children's as if her children's were toddlers again. It comes a time in every mother's life were we feel left out the end of our road. Nevertheless our age is still continuing multiplying. And this can be very stressful scary and difficult to find confront. But the important thing is having the controlling of your family, and once that's gone, we start to shut down or we distance ourselves from everyone. And most definitely that's is not positive is negative. And we as mother's and grandmother, we must take action by getting the controlling back in place. I truly feel for Chris. Because I experience and continue today I'm still experiencing the same pain. It scares me to this date. But I must admit that I have learned to appreciate my time with my children's and grandchildrens even the smallest things in life. People tomorrow is not promise to no one. So this is how I'm able to continue to press myself with all my siblings. It hard at time but there times that I don't want to end my time nor say goodbye. I'm five hours away from my siblings is not like I can get up drive 30 min no I can't. I'm older and they have a family of there own. I must respect them by calling. Planning is the best. I pray for this family, that our lord Jesus will strengthen there's ways and learned to appreciate one another. People Most importantly Chris really loves her family she really does. I may not agree with her parenting skills. But we all have something in ourselves that needs adjusting. I pray that they will work on this matter and accomplish it to the max.
