The difference between goad and doomskurges etb is that any creature played after he enters during the next turn will be forced to stack as well if possible.

Technically, Kardur's ability could still be worded with goad. "When Kardur, Doomscourge enters the battlefield, until your next turn, creatures your opponents control are goaded."

Kardur's ability is better than goading because it affects creatures that weren't on the battlefield when it resolved.

Varchild's War Riders actually used to work like you thought, but it was the M10 Rules change (I think) that altered it. Basically, the owner of a token changed from the owner of the effect that made the token, to whoever it came into play under the control of. This means you can no longer Homeward Path Varchild's.

The owner is not always the one whose control the token enters under, it is the one that is stated to create the token, which in Varchild’s oracle text is the opponent. There are some effects that cause tokens to enter under the control of someone other than its owner, but those are rare and quite fringe. TL;DR you’re correct about the card but not quite on the ruling. Unless I’m just wrong which I guess could be the case.

The video narration is excellent. I enjoy the fact you focus on gameplay rather than "you-had-to-be-there" social interaction. Social interaction is of course important for commander when you're in-person, but I'd rather see deck interaction as a viewer. Definitely helps with deciding on new and interesting commanders! I was on the fence about the demon berserker, but this video really showed his appeal.

Great game! Alex went 100% under the radar. To be honest, I had to force myself really hard to not smug like a mono blue player when David casted Rout.

I love my Kardur deck, but it really angers your opponents when you force them to do things they may not want to do, and when it’s down to 1v1, you better have an answer. I’ve come in second so many times when I play Kardur.

I have a Kardur deck and 100% agree it can be easy to knock out two opponents, but getting the last one down can be challenging. I find I have to aggressively target the player I know will be the hardest to knock out 1v1 first, or play spells like Mercadia’s Downfall to ‘surprise’ pump attackers (yours or an opponents) to take down threats.

This is the reason I prefer Thantis the War Weaver for my forced-combat deck, not least of which green gives you access to loads of creatures with Vigilance. There's the Rakdos goad stuff in there (Karazikar, Kardur etc) to force people to attack each other, but on the turns where they're not goaded and turn towards you, you've still got some decent defences up.

Do you try to blink Kardur over and over? To me this is a losing proposition because you’re not spending time developing your board if you do this. And yes, it generates unnecessary heat in a multiplayer format. I have won many games now with Kardur and the key is to use him sparingly.

Varchild's War Riders's current Oracle text says "Have an opponent create a 1/1 red Survivor creature token." Since the opponents are the ones creating the tokens, they own them. Homeward Path has no effect on them.

I just gotta say that was a perfectly timed Bruna. I don't know if he was intentionally waiting for the right moment or if he just drew it but as soon as I saw him drop it I knew the game was his, seeing as a boardwipe was just shot and the Kardur player was almost hellbent.

Great game from the new EDH player! I really enjoy my Kestia deck, it's always a blast. Its just lame that there isnt many great aura cards.

The Kardur copy also should have triggered off its own death. Kardur doesn't say "another attacking creature".

Seeing bruna with the bestow creatures made me think we need a bestow commander that can do that with other bestow creatures and bring them back from the graveyard when she attacks, that would be really sweet and powerful.

fun fact, Kardur, Doomscourge's effect is only for the round he ETB's. Subsequent rounds can go at his face.

Kardur almost always kingmakes - you get some blink shenenigans going so opponents beat each other up but then you can't beat the last player once everyone else is dead.

I love kardur. I tried building it too, but it usually plays out just like in this game. Once you only have 1 opponent left, you're usually dead on board from feeding them creatures. Unless you have insurrection in hand.

Tuvasa is a lot better than kestia, her abilities seem mid but once it gets going, its kinda disgusting. I don't even play my tuvasa deck(which is just the precon) becuase it just wins games.

I came here looking for insight into how Sigarda is built and played. Let's say I'm thoroughly disappointed lol. Not even sure what that deck was about but Voltron seems the most befitting for that commander.
