If this is Deep in the heart than her name is Kathleen, not Karen in the movie.

The character is Kathleen. The actress is Karen Young.

The transformation is well depicted. She goes from being sexually attractive to being good looking, but not in a sexy way. This is a must see for women who are considering short hair. Having short hair is about giving up your sex appeal. If that is something a woman wants and if her features are symmetrical enough to pull it off, then she should do it. But if she enjoys being sexually appealing and is looking for a way to enhance her looks, a hair cut is not the way to go.Very de-feminizing.
