He was telling Emma to put money on Loris commissary and she said oh I've talked to Lori (in jail) and she said we'll be OK because we have your wallet and we're not like Colby. I was like wth?!!! First, RIP to John O’Keefe & may he and his family get the justice due in a court of law. However, this case has become so much bigger than Karen & John. The irony of John being a police officer & now police officers and the entire justice system is on trial for playing fast & loose with procedural issues and broken laws. It took a dead police officer to shine light on the flawed system that we call “Justice”.

To be fair, here in Massachusetts there is a new State Police scandal every 2-3 years and people get fired, no one goes to jail and we all wait for the next one. Ranges from an overtime stealing scheme to the DA asking for changes in the police reports to not embarrass friends, to even them hiring someone as a K9 officer that they previously investigated for drug charges. It's amazing.

@novascotiaskater1868 2 ай бұрын
I completely agree that Defendants can't win.. if they are crying - they're faking, if they laugh then they're callous and uncaring - I totally get it. But- Karen Read has been getting progressively more cocky and arrogant with every hearing and it's pretty obvious she is seeing all the support from the community, online forums, Turtle Boy and his crowd, News reporters, Social media etc etc... This trial more than any I can remember has generated a huge amount of media coverage and controversy before the trial has even started .... and I absolutely put that down to a Defense Team that is media savvy and aggressive. Typically before a trial the evidence is kept secret, the State is silent and the Defense will keep everything buttoned up, no interviews, no speeches on the courthouse steps, no Defendant doing ABC prime time interviews or commenting after Hearings. We usually don't have crowds on the courthouse steps booing and jeering at State witnesses or supporters as they walk up, or some Social Media influencer throwing themself under a bus and getting arrested in order to profess and publicize their perceived opinions of conspiracies, anger at false narratives, and Prosecutorial misconduct, and Thin Blue Lines and going out of their way to expose perceived unprofessional, unethical,immoral and illegal acts of local Police Departments in order to support the Defendant. Allan Jackson, Read's lead Defense attorney not only had no concerns about Read speaking out these last two years he's openly encouraged it. It's also extremely unusual for the lead Prosecutor to take to the media to publicly chastise the public over how potential State witnesses have been treated in the public. We know more about the evidence that will be presented in this case pre-trial than any trial in history. So - I believe I have seen Karen Read go from being a scared, meek and frail woman charged with murder to a confident, laughing, chair dancing arrogant woman who believes the world has her back and that the State of Massachusetts will be licking the egg if their faces and scurrying into some hole of shame when the Police force is shamed beyond repair, the Prosecutors are charged with misconduct etc etc.. but she is playing with fire. If she is innocent and never touched O'Keefe with her car and had absolutely no part in whatever happened to him that led to his death then let's hope she's found not guilty ... however - there is a chance she did back her car into him without knowing .. which would make it a tragic accident - not murder. Maybe she was so drunk that after fighting with him in the car she put too much pressure on the gas while reversing and hit him but knew she hit him and drive away in a rage ... maybe she intentionally stomped on the gas to nail him and drive away .... I actually don't think we will ever know! But - my point in this long rambling comment is that she needs to stop acting like she's Eva Perron and just be calm, and a little subdued and show some concern about the precarious position she's in - no more looking back at the gallery and waving like she's Princess Diana, no more coy smiles and lunging to lick her attorney's ear as they whisper despite no one being within 20 feet of them, no more chair dancing , no more laughing as her slimey , overly - tanned lawyer Allan Jackson says something most likely inappropriate to her ... it's not a good look. Especially considering the jury has not been chosen yet and I guarantee you that despite getting letters telling them they are not too much any news or investigate online about this case they all are and they are all watching this behavior from her. Really - it's in her best interest to. There has been information out there in the public about her actions that night, and the fact that everyone believes she had seven or eight alcoholic drinks, took a glass from one bar to the next and then another glass from that bar into her car, that she was fighting with him not only that night, but for months before hand and that he had said he wanted to break up with her, that there's a witness that says she pulled into the driveway and they sat in the car for 10 or 15 minutes appearing to argue before he got out and she took off, she woke up at 5 AM and seeing him not home immediately started making phone calls to the other police officers wives and got them to go back to the house which is beyond bizarre ( most people if they got into a fight with their partner and that partner got out of the car and went into a house to continue the party they would go home and crash and sleep off the alcohol and wake up at nine or 10 AM the next morning and then text to find out where their partner is having assumed that they just passed out drunk at the party- immediately start panicking because the person wasn't home yet) Anyway, she needs to think big picture and John O'Keefe Garner's a whole Lotta sympathy because he was basically a single man who took on his niece and nephew who were orphaned and he's a hero and a saint, and he died in a way that no one can explain so her cocky, arrogant attitude in the courtroom is going to turn everybody off!

Her attitude and behavior in court alarmed me, as well as her behavior when she was arrested. You don't laugh and giggle when your bf is dead, and there is a crime scene/victim. She's overly confident acting and smug, which screams narcissistic personality to me. After being arrested and saying, "We are all in on this joke, right" is a very odd thing to say, IMO. I believe she deliberately ran the bf over and then tried to cover her tracks and come up with an alternative as to why her headlight was damaged by hitting his car. 49 calls to her bf between 1-4 am is also strange; it's like she wanted to show he was "missing" or that she couldn't contact him that night. That said, the Boston PD, even PD right outside the city, can be extremely shady and corrupt. I will give KR the benefit of the doubt, "innocent upon being found guilty", and wait to hear all the evidence in this case. She has a good defense attorney in David Yanetti, who is very well respected in Boston and has a great team behind him.

I just wanna give a perspective on the way she acts, and I’m not trying to come at u all. As the sister of someone who was wrongfully accused of attempted murder after defending himself, and there was police and corruption and coverups involved, when things drag on for two years and you know you’re innocent, you kinda start to go back to normal. You smile in court, etc. or I’m sure some don’t, but those things don’t make me think she’s guilty. Time changes things. But I guess the difference with my brother’s case is our judge approved our motion to dismiss the grand jury indictment. I am definitely interested to see how this goes and hear both sides, and will be watching this intently.

You have to understand that this is just getting big news but for her it’s been going on for years now… I can understand it coming off in a bad way but maybe the reason she’s confident is because she knows she’s innocent and is happy it’s almost over…. Just another prospective but I completely understand your point…. Gotta say though if she’s found innocent there will be other trials in this case!

Have you seen any of the vids with dog and police dog training experts? The one guy showed the prosthetic arm they use to train, and the tears on the arm look exactly like that. A dog grabbing and being ripped off or arm pulled away, the dog does not get a hold on the whole arm. They grab skin and pinch tear. I have seen a bunch of dog experts now, all agree the marks were definitely made by a dog. Once the police dogs have gone through more extensive training, they then learn to grab bite, to hold onto a person.I personally know what dog bites look like. I had to watch my 4 year old being attacked in the face. The dog got her 3 times, before i got him off her. We thought she would lose her eye. They removed a chunk of torn eye lid. The bites smaller, but looked the same.Someone was either pulling the dog off or John was pulling his arm from the dog. It will come up in court, there was no dna found. It has been found by the FBI investigation that johns clothes were not submitted to evidence for 3 weeks.Again part of why the feds are involved in this crap investigation. The swab taken No one knows where it came from, and should have been taken from the wounds themselves. Not a shirt that had been contaminated and not preserved. Look up pictures of dog bites.

Here's my two cents, I personally think Karen Reid is guilty. What else does her team of lawyers have, outside of trying to blame someone else, saying there's a cover-up. They really don't have much else. This is what I think happened. Karen Reid got into an argument with John O'Keefe, and maybe he tried to stop her from leaving. Possibly, she had a few drinks in her, but either way, I think she probably told him to move and get out of her way or she would hit him with her car, and he probably didn't think that she would do that (hit him) but she did. Leaving him to die in the cold. After when she realized what she had done and the fact that he was dead, that's when she had to find an alibi. But she did a lot of digging online before conjuring up the idea that John got in a fight with other officers in the house where the party took place.Then came he was bitten by dogs. But none of that goes over well with me. She sits in the courtroom like she's got a book deal coming up as soon as she's off the hook. Constantly smiling ear to ear. Her lawyers act like yes, a book deal and a movie, and lots of money coming our way. The sad thing is John O'Keefe is dead, and she needs to be held responsible for his death. Where is everyone outside of the courtroom cheering on in favor of John O'Keeffe? Instead, we have a ton of people that have been obviously removed but were there day after day cheering her on. People need to think about his family and adopted children. Think about who he was and that he can't speak for himself. Where are those supporting him? His department should in court if they are not there during this case. I hope the jury sees past the glitter and glam Karen has created, and there is justice for John O'Keefe and his family.

If anyone has ever seen a car after hitting a person, hard enough to kill them or even hurt them, you would see MAJOR damage to the car. Just google car-person accident. A broken taillight would be the LEAST of the damage. The damage to the taillight was caught on camera, she hit his car while backing up. There would be DNA on the car if he was hit hard enough. I think he was beaten then died in the snow. The state has to prove she did it... I'll wait for their evidence, but so far... they are losing.

She needs to be guilty. You can't convict her because you think she is arrogant or entitled. I hope you never serve on a jury. Free Karen Read.

All evidence thus far shows she did NOT do this. Apparently you havent watched all of these hearings & heard evidence or youre chiming in for opposition. Heaven forbid youre judged for your frredom & life based on someones opinion that you look arrogant. Sad.

Sounds like jealousy to me. Get the facts. And about smiling, so what she's been thru hell for two years and it's going to end soon. Have not doubt innocent.
