Hi Renato! It's perfectly safe, as long as you have enough equipment with you. We did this among four friends, but we also met a German girl who trekked this alone (and I met her also afterwards). We also met a couple, who did their first trek ever, and they weren't that well equipped. We also met them afterwards, and they needed to interrupt their trek as among others all their gear got wet. So just get your basics right with equipment if you haven't done a hike before - and make sure you use your shoes enough way ahead to avoid blisters! The trek is very "safe" in a way, that you almost at all time have connection with your mobile, and you are never too far out in the woods. You could almost order a pizza to the camps at evening. ;) The bottom line is, would anything happen, you would be easily found. The bears you don't need to worry about. Some people go there searching for them, but I have never heard that anybody would have found not one. However, you can go on a separate bear watching excursion, where you will be taken to places where bears are known to gather. You'll be watching them from inside a house perfectly safe. We did that after the trek, and it was AMAZING.
