A challenge which I am going through right now is learning to be independent. In a way this is much more challenging because it requires a lot of maturity to understand to take actions in your daily life which will help you be a more mature person. I'm currently in my second year of college, and growing up has been the most difficult process of my life and there is so much discomfort. However I know that I have to do it, because in the blink of an eye I'll be 30! I love watching your videos Karin!

Karin, here's my question, since the fireplace will possibly be changed because the client isn't in love with it, how does that work with your design pricing that has already been established based on scope of work as well as the contractor's proposal.

Take me a long time to understand how the BOUNDARIES can help me be a better person and a better professional. I think how I am punching the BOUNDARIES now is based on what makes me more grows even if a company with a NO. I can't understand why the fireplace is so BIG. Not only is it too wide, it's WAY too deep. It takes up so much room which is lacking in the first place. I don't like it in that room. I can't wait to see the finished look because everything else looks fab! I LOVE ALL of your projects. I can't wait to see more. And whatever happened to that incredible house in Toronto (Caledon)??

Agree! The fireplace looks like it’s encroaching into the kitchen nook. It feels way to large for the space. Can’t wait to see the end result. I know it will be beautiful as always!

Agree.. and it seems *too rectangular* for this "zona de paso" (sorry, don't how the words for that) and also, because of the poligonal shape of the nook. Aswell doesn't match with the island... (It could be the high, more than the wide,I guess) 'couse it is so edgy / stunning new piece in the middle of the kitchen. Let us know the finaL solution 👏🏼👏🏼

love the apartment but have to be honest, i think the fireplace is too overwhelmingly big. Beautiful, but not right for the space at all

Love your content and projects. How do you convince your clients? Specially for residential work to push the boundaries. Most of clients are too afraid of the unknown, and to be different. Even if you show how its goin to look. I wish they understand.

Happy International Women's Day 👑🔥 Pushing the Boundaries in any line of work (as well as personally) is important. It is great to find what works and build a brand from that, however as much as we want to have a signature look, style and feel to our work this still requires pushing the boundaries. It keeps the business relevant and to be able to truly deliver what the client needs and wants. It allows growth and the ability to create a meaningful impact through the work. Today's world requires this more than ever and in more ways than one. As always it was great to see the behind the scenes/day(s) in the life. The thoughts and perspectives shared are interesting and useful. 👑💖

Karin, you mentioned in your older videos that you didn't finish Design school. I'm curious, how do you come up with your floor plans and designs in general? Did you get your license or do you use your contractor for all the details? I've heard some designers get around that (not being licensed) by using their contractor.

Hi, this question is for Karin or anyone who may have some advice. I'm an aspiring interior designer who's making a career change at 31. I'd really like to go into the interior design field, but I'm concerned it might be counterproductive since the field is on the decline. I'd like to do this in the long run and I'm not sure if I want to have my own interior design business. I just want to be sure I'll be able to get a job. The last thing I want is two degrees with no job prospects lol I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

New video style is nice, only one thing is the slight camera shake on straight shots- which I understand is a stylistic choice. Makes it hard to watch though. Example: 3:29

Dear Karin, the fireplace is way too big. I know how frustrating is to change a custom made product but the fire place has to change. If you want honest advice let me know. Love the gym you've created. Specially the numbers on the lockers.

Hi Karin, I love your channel so much, i watch all of your videos and follow you on instagram as well.. i find you very inspiring! I would like to give you a suggestion to make us even more hooked to your projects... what if you create a video for every project and tell us everything about it... there's a great channel here on youtube of an architect that does that: @DomaArquitetura. She even teach us (normal people) a little bit about the construction/design/etc. Thank you so much!!!!
