Just in the past few days there was a story in the Houston Chronicle about a guy that lost $130,000 to these scammers. It is an incredibly sad and frustrating story.

I am an Indian who was scammed by Indian scammers who took every bit of money that our family had saved over the years by tricking my dad, we feel the effects to this day but watching all this happen warms my heart. Thank you for doing this.

Bro I live in Saudi Arabia and you have no idea how many scam calls I get from Indians. They pretend to be from the bank and ask for personal information. I have blocked so many numbers. Unfortunately my uncle fell for this trick and lost over $15,000

@@AARISH_6 yeah there are lot of scammers especially in tier1, tier2 cities of north central india. They prey on innocent victims and once they realize they cannot trick victims, then they trash talk and cuss at them. They used to call me everyday with different numbers but i was patient enough to just hang up. once they realised that, they still used to call me just to trigger me and ruin my day. Unlike in west, where compines value Presonal information, here in india when we buy a product or service and register our number with service/product provider like car dealer. The middle men employees illeaglly have deals with scammers and share customers numbers.

I love everything you guys do and been watching most of you for years as well. I was almost a victim of a Marriage scam and backed out last min. I’m sure the government doesn’t mind all that stolen foreign currency circulating into their economy. That’s why they put such minimal effort into cracking down operations. Also from a nonwhite American perspective, most of these scammers target elderly Americans and it’s starting to create a very negative stigma and stereotype of Indians (obviously not all Indians are scammers). Sometimes elderly with dementia get tricked into sending money, which boils my guts..

I love the "I would NEVER share my wife!"😅. Once, during lockdowns, when they lifted, I went to Goa, and EVERY day at the coffee shop, there was a guy (not from India), sitting there doing romance scams (I saw his "love letters" one day, while waiting for my coffee and turned and saw a glimpse of his computer screen)

This is so great! In my younger years before the computer world , Scammers used the phone system to steal from the elderly. There were many public service ads and education in schools about these guys. Now we have computers and our Governments do less to help the people. As Indian an Indian I feel annoyed and embarrassed how people are trying to scam and flirt. Hope people realize this only short term success and divert there energy in better area.

Karl, your help in the India etc area is fully appreciated. Your ability to show people online what the place looks like and the wealth they got shows us the normal humans and people getting scammed how come we should not let them scammers get away with this

I'm an Indian and very happy that you're all doing this. I'm ashamed of the type of people that our country has. One of the worst ones are scammers. Glad they're getting their punishment. Get them all. These b*****ds deserve to be behind bars.

As an older person, I would volunteer a couple hours a week to call scammers if others would do the technology end of it 🙂

I love how all of you came together as a team to shut down scammers, it's a huge problem that won't go away but the more great folks like you all it will make an impact.. the other issue is trying to educate older adults and disabled adults who are easy targets. I got scammed for over £30000 recently in the UK, i appointed a company to retrieve my money but they faled me miserably, even the online bank didnt take any responsibility so i lost the lot. You are doing a great job so keep it going.
