"The Legend of Hao Lan" based on the late Warring States period, revolves around the struggle between the Qin and Zhao states. The Zhao state Censor's daughter Li Haolan (Wu Jinyan acted) was forced to be a slave because of family struggle , the businessman Lv Buwei (Nie Yuan acted) bought him. Later with the Qin proton Ying Yiren(Mao Zijun acted) produced chemistry after twists and turns.

This entire scene was amazing. The beginning when Hao Lan got those two guys tied up to be hung outside and the king defending his wife and son. The good prevails here XD

I love how the former wei yingluo and minyu are now princess yin and hailoan and the former emperor is now bu luwei in excellent new characters as well as the former gao woman in her new role

It can happen anywhere. In my local area a father was accused of being a pedofile, only because he owned a white van (work van). Guilty by association apparently. In America you get your name, age and adress in the news when you're only suspected of a crime. If your cleared of it, your name and picture is still out there. People have to quit jobs and move to other cities or even states because of the rumour mill. It's insane.

In my country, a man was almost killed, because the ex posted in Facebook that he was a pedophile who abused his own sons. A lynch mob beated him, and did other very nasty things. He was totally innocent. The men who "punished" him went to prison, but the ex who slandered him... she never spent a day in jail.

It’s not LB child, it’s the kings child, LB was assumed dead initially the Prince married her in name only to initially protect her, LB came back but let her down again, so she stood at her husbands side when they were going to execute him, she then pledged her life to him and they slept together, it’s defo kings child. Also we saw after they were married she had a period scene where prince was looking after her etc. I actually don’t think she ever slept with LB.

The idea was that the Father is most likely to have same blood type/antigens. It was said that if you are related the blood would mix in water. If two people were not related the blood was show signs of coagulation/separation due to white blood cells doing their thing. Obviously crap because our understanding of inheritance of blood type meant that the biological father could have a different blood type 😂

@@jl16848 Which is why the physician stated that it could actually NOT work, necessitating the whole "I'm sure you can convince everyone" line. It's pretty smart of the writers to adress this plot hole.

It sounds like a crude version of a blood typing test, to see if A/B antigens react and cause clotting. Throw in Type O and Type AB and non-laboratory conditions and it's definitely risky. Not to mention I saw one drama where there was an additive in the water to skew the results. (Empresses in the Palace). I suspect Haolan may have been thinking of something like that when she said she was sure the doctor knew how to get the proof of paternity.
