PRANAM MAHARAJ. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO HINDU TEMPLE ORGANIZATION FOR SPREADING MESSAGE OF TRUE SANATAN DHARMA. PRAY TO GOD FOR MORE SUCH TEMPLE TO SPREAD TRUE HINDUISM & TO SHOW THE HIGH NOSED WESTERNERS TO UNDERSTAND THAT HIGHLY SCIENTIFIC CIVILIZED VAIDIC CULTURE FLOURISHED MUCH BEFORE THE SO CALLED WESTERN CULTURE STARTED TO SHOW THEIR LIMITED SELF CENTRED DHARMA .

A lot of pride in this comment...The pre-vedic Indus Valley Civilisation also was very advanced and from combining their spiritual beliefs, and the shamanic beliefs that vedic invaders brought, we have a very special and unique environment in South Asia. It could be said that Hindu mythology is essentially a highly fantastical stories of the vedic invaders victories over the aboriginal indian peoples.

As long as one considers himself or himself as a "doer", there is no karma yoga. I would submit that Karma Yoga should lead to the culmination of knowledge in sublation of doer, doership and deed. Even if he one does not eye for the results, as long as he considers himself or herself as a doer, how can there be karma yoga?

Its evolution of the soul. It evolves from birth to birth, through varied experiences, Karma- is the means,in more evolved souls, yoga happens automatically, because the sankalpa to experience a specific type of life,is taken up by the evolved souls only, its the ego which identifies itself with avidya and thinks its bound. Once that is settled in the mind,by listening carefully to these Jnana talks by adhikaris, then automatically the mind disengages itself from thw fruits of the karma, its an automatic process, if it comes to the mind that its disengaging itself then its not yet done, do you see? Swamiji says we are already that,we must allow it to happen, the problem is when we start looking for mystical experiences, and it becomes objective. It takes practice ,we must keep at it,ie nishkama karma, disengaging the mind from the fruits, suddenly one day it will turn, and the dimension changes, its like a ball turned inside out.

@@jyothipandit2755 Thank you for your response. I am not sure if both of us are speaking the same "language". 1. Soul - Impersonal Reality of Existence/Consciousness - does not evolve. Evolution (Change) requires a basis in time. "Time" does not live in the atmosphere of the soul. Soul is "anterior" to mind and time is "posterior to mind". Soul is eternally unchanging principle. 2. Soul (Soul, Atman, "I", IMPERSONAL REALITY of Existence/Consciousness - I use them as synonyms) which is beyond time and space is not subject to birth or death. I disagree with the statement that "soul evolves from birth to birth. " 3. "Mind" cannot witness the change in "mind". Soul is the eternal "witness" 4. I do not look for mystical experiences. When we are eternally "THAT", an "experience" can never get us there. WE ARE PRIOR TO EXPERIENCE. 5. I fully recognize that there is a great potential for mutual misunderstanding. After all, we are trying to convey that which cannot be expressed but from which and made of which alone, all expressions emerge. My apologies if I have not understood you correctly.

The speaker told that objectives of Hinduism were four; Dharma: Ethical life and austerity. Artha: Earning money or livelihood. Kam: Passion for and coitus with opposite sex for propagation of race or otherwise. Mokha: Salvation. While first three are quite earthly to understand, this one is totally based on either faith or imagination. The 1st and 2nd most popular religions of the world, Christianity and Islam believe in resurrection and final judgement. The 3rd religion, Hinduism, talks about marging with Bramhan in non-duality Vedanta and promises eternal life in heaven with Siva or Vishnu in duality-Vedanta. To be eligible for mokha one will have to refine himself through Karmayoga in limitless cycle of life and death. But, speaker's example of philantrophy as Karma yoga is wrong. Philanthropy means the desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of money to good causes. Hence, it is applicable everywhere, not only in Hinduism. Karma yoga means doing a work without becoming afraid of consequence for otherwise one may get shaky and do mistake while performing. As per definition of non-duality Vedanta, Bramhan is immortal, knowledge and infinite. If individual consciousness merge with Bramhan, obviously there will be no separate existence of individual consciousness. Hence, in non-duality Vendanta, mokha amounts to total annihilation of self for ever. But, in duality vedanta, mokha means eternal life in kingdom of Vishnu or Krishna or Shiva. Out of two, which one do you like?

Doing work selflessly for benefit of others is not part of karmayoga ?? Which realised self said so ?? The first Ashrama of RKM in Sarghachi is based purely on that karmayoga principle & highly appreciated by Swamiji himself. Hinduism consists of all the spectrum of all other religion. Hence it's natural that, some part of Hinduism will be practiced by other religion also ,philanthropy is one such . So ,Hinduism is vast & limitless ,all religions are truly part of it ,it's not part of any religion. Also ,it's the ancient & as ,Swamiji said ,Mother of all religion. But fact of the matter is ,no religion has that broadness to acknowledge that ,also ,so called secular Hindus don't even understand true Hinduism.

@@bhattacharya6774 In Gita, chapter 3, Karma yoga has been described. Text 2 & 3 give the essence of the same. “The renunciation of work and working in devotion are both good for liberation, but devotion is better than renunciation. Renunciation means neither hating nor desiring fruits of own activities. Text 7 says, a person whose soul is engaged in devotional works, purified and self controlled, conquerer of senses, compassionate to all living beings, even if works continuously, does not get entangled in the work. Where are your philanthropy and selfless in karma yoga? Your swamiji can’t reinvent Karmayoga by his own interpretation of Sanskrit slokas.

Philanthropy needs money which is to be earned by honest means only.Aman with an empty pocket can pray only .Practising karmayoga demands movement .on and on Vivekananda says that chitta siddhu is by karmayoga only unless you do sadhana no worthwhileachievement is possible

@@thyagarajant.r.3256 Swami Vivekananda is not inventor of Karma yoga. It is given in 3rd chapter of Gita. Read it to have your own interpretation of karma yoga. You will be surprised to see that there is neither mention of philantrophy nor self less work.
