Karolina never was raised in a religion called the "Church of Gibborim," she never had a father named Jonah, she never got with Nico at first, and she never betrayed the team in the comics. Karolina was the traitor in this show, she chose to be selfish, to go behind the others' back and lie for weeks, and sided with her psychopath father who tried ending the world multiple times (and even PROTECTED him at times) for nearly all of S2, just like Alex did with HIS parents in the comics. Karolina is a compassionate, selfless, and loving person in the comics. In the show, she's condescending, manipulative, selfish, and a liar. She's far from great and is a poor adaptation. Sorry, but it is what it is.

​@@pengu2935 I literally just listed out how much different Karolina's personality is in the show compared to the comics lol. Also in what way was she accurate in terms of plot? I'm fine with changes to the source material when doing an adaptation, only if said changes are GOOD and enhance/honor the material. All the changes that were made here were bad, plain and simple. They didn't understand Karolina's character, and they sure as hell weren't faithful to her which is a damn shame.

@@plsstop6838 They also did a force relationship between Nico and Karolina which goes against their characters. They've avoided dating for a while and they're not an interesting romantic pairing and have always been better as friends. Karolina and Xavin would have been been better.

@@sharkaduck1935 Yeah.... no. Thats not a thing. Its a show made for teens. It had one of the lowest budgets for a superhero show.

It wasn’t made for the same audience as MCU movies. Compare the budget of this show to WandaVision’s $225 million. This was a show for teenagers, the effects were clearly not going to be outstanding in comparison to the MCU’s other movies.

Technically it’s more like colorful captain marvel since they both use solar energy

Her flying for the first time was really downed played then how it was in the comics. She was sad when she found out she wasn’t human and thought she was a freak and being in love with and in the closest made her depressed but when she figured out she could fly all that went away.

Well it’s hard to execute this kind of visual effect well from comic to screen so I’d say they did good

I’m assuming that they didn’t want her to be super powerful in the first few seasons and if we had more time with the characters she would probably be a Wanda situation where her powers evolve as the show goes on Bc that makes the most sense and would’ve been really cool

to summarise the runaways is abt a group of kids who used to be friend but started to break up. After finding out that their parents were apperantly some cult members who sacrifice/kills teenagers every year, they decided to get back together and try to stop them
