Karpe have a special place in the hearts of many Norwegians. After the brutal terrori attack on July 22nd 2011 their music became symbolic of the new Norway that the majority of Norwegians want and love, with diversity, love and compassion. They are by far the biggest rap/Hiphop artists in Norway, and the fact that the group itself is multicultural (Egypt and India) give them so much power in their status as faces of diverse Norway. They performed on several occasions in the aftermath of the attacks, and I think you would find some of those videos powerful. Sadly I can't find a subtitled version of them performing Påfugl at the memorial concert.

Karpe have brought more knowledge and understanding for other cultures and languages to the Norwegian people than the government has ever managed to do. Their audience is from young kids to elders and they bring something new and important to the table every single time. In a world of chaos, Karpe bring people together in peace ❤️

I agree 100 %. The young people have always been more tolerant, but Karpe has manged to educate and show also other generations. My stepmother, who as I am norwegian is turning 80 next year. She only wants one ting for her birthday. A ticket to a concert with Karpe. I will get it :)
