I have every game from this series and all the Master Games. I had put them on KZfaq but they shut me down for copy write issues I was told BBC complained. I do not believe that, rather a chess connoisseur had a hand in it. Shortly after Odeon produced Master Game DVD's. The videos were sent to them by another Englishman which they then reproduced on DVD.I had offered them fo the greater good of the public, but someone had ideas of making money from it after they saw how many people were watching my Master Game Channel.. Shame on them!

Thanks for sharing this, these vintage vids are always a delight. Terrible play by Spassky, those cramped, weak openings usually don't end up well and he paid the price for it. One notices how timid the game is and it's no surprise not long after Kasparov dominated and was a breath of fresh air in a stale scene.

@@estolee5485 then how you know he was scared to play? He had personal issues and he actually wanted to play karpov but on his demands that no points for draws. You know a funny fact? Stop with your 2face shit first saying fischer would save himself from embarrassment and then saying it would definitly be 12-12. Fischer was a headcase already in winning vs Spassky. It was even a miracle he played in 1972. Anyways, we will never know.

@@estolee5485 I think Fischer had fallen out of love with chess in the time in-between world championships. blundering for me: opponent immediately takes my piece flying from across the board. i have no idea what has happened or when i went wrong. blundering as a world champion: (blunders) (realizes fault immediately) (12 moves later the 1% better change of winning move is finally revealed and to the general audience and i had no idea why it was better, but the rook was “blundered” 12 moves ago lol. ie: blunders for the grandmasters happen in advance. blunders for scrubs like me happen immediately with no awareness

When you touch a piece do you have to move it? If so I think thats a dumb rule

It stops someone experimenting with a move, but putting on a square and seeing what is it like there ... then picking up another piece and then doing the same etc. and then finally committing to a move.
