The native Lepcha language gave the Karsong Trail its name, which translates to "Orchid," as this trail is replete with them.
Beginning at Harkate (1660 m), the hike ascends through a thick pine forest to the summit of Google Point (1817 m), concluding at Jhandi Danda (1376 m), Salakpur. The reason that location is known as "Google Point" may be gnawing at you. When you get to the top, though, you'll know. When conditions are ideal, Google Point offers a stunning view over the Kanchanjunga Range, the plains of Nepal, and Siliguri, India.
The entire hike passes along the ridge of the hill range known as Mahabharat. As you travel through the natural forest, a variety of birds, trees, and flowers can be seen.
