To be honest, Karthik subburaj is very very ahead than Lokesh and Nelson in writing with new ideas. Definitely he is underrated. But sure very soon Tamil audience will realise KS is best

I love KS's writings. Its so subtextual and slow burning. Not falling for the so called high points and shocks. I loved Mahaan, Iraivi and Jigarthaanda. I enjoyed the writing, narration, character arc and the slow cooking plot. Look and feel was just a cherry on top.

For people,whom it burns for the Hype around Lokesh or Loki he worked it around for that and did not get through some Mediocre films..He made such good films Managaram,Kaithi and Vikram and the character arcs for JD and Bhavani in Master are so well written and even Leo has a very well written First Half...Even Karthik Subbaraj had that hype but he lost it through his films Mercury,Jagame Thandhiram...Many people had issue with Leo's second half, same with Karthik's last few films which had a very good first half but an average 2nd half made him who he is now...But that doesnt take away the quality writer/filmmaker he is....He will bounce back surely with Jigarthanda Doublex

Loeksh got his hype from his collaboration with Vijay. and the outputs were mid compared to his debuts. That's the point Karthik missed; he should've worked with AK or Vijay after Petta. but he went with Danush, and it ended in failure. Mahan was a good comeback for him, but it was OTT. comparing to lokesh karthik got more depth in scripts and originality. hoping doublex would end as a huge hit so he could get more big hero films.

Maanagaram,Kaithi and Vikram are brilliantly written films and technically sound too which most critics loved..Pouring Vanmam bcos he directed someone that we don’t like that much…Again I repeat Lokesh’s fame can’t be achieved using some middling films and current film viewing scenario doesnt accept mediocrity at all…Karthik had his hype but he lost it due to his mediocrity in between..If Jigarthanda Doublex is good he is going to be appreciated and if Lokesh is doing mediocrity stuffs he will be put down as simple as that…Give the people their due credits for what they have done and achieved !!

Leo copied from HOV is the most dumbest thing one could say when the filmmaker has bought the official remake rights and has also given the due credits…LCU organically happened that is the reason he and his universe got the Hype before Leo…Yes it wasn’t used well in Leo but said that He is a kickass filmmaker and spitting your vanmam doesn’t change that…

BR is not upset with Lokesh alone...He is upset with the highpoints in films which are the only USPs of current films that he accuses that includes Rajamouli,Prashanth Neel even he accused Pradeep Ranganathan for Love Today, Nelson and Loki for Vikram and Jailer...Sadly but that is how current gen loves watching films...But Vikram is not highpoints alone it has a well written screenplay unlike other highpoint films such as KGF Franchise,RRR,Jailer..

Baddy can talk this all day. Just fascinating how much interest he shows and focuses on the deep conversations. KS is definitely a kind of director. I mean look at his catalogue. He doesn't repeat the similar styles or some swaggy patterns like lokesh, atlee or Nelson. His set pieces, staging amd specially the music is just splendid. Wel even his lows like mercury, JT had some great takeaways whatsoever. So much better than most of these hyped overrated BSssss that's been going around throughout the nation!

It tells deeper thing about our existence where we humans has collective unconscious and it’s what driving us all in one form in one way guiding us through but we do call it fate. Yeah then Homopathy Vijay will ruin Karthil Suburaj too😂 As for Nelson he is a one of a kind director Name any other director across India who can do better commercial black comedy, he has a unique take on characters and humour which is hard to come by. Whereas Lokesh is truly overrated he is a mashup of Hollywood rip offs only.

comparing to lokesh karthik got more depth in scripts and originality. His mistake was he should've worked with Ak or Vijay right after Petta, which could've boosted his fame and hype like lokesh.

All these new gen directors these days must learn screenwriting from Karthick Subbaraj. Gen Z kids are over-hyping Loki and Nelson but they aren't anywhere close to Karthik or Nalan or Alphone. These Nalaiya Iyakkunar batch has some real talent which is missing these days.

I'm not sure what's happening with Baddy and Loki, but he was throwing some shade at Loki for a few moments. He didn't enjoy the Leo film at all, and he's still quite frustrated

Each one of us likes certain films/ style of film making more than the others. This doesn’t mean that they’re any lesser. When film makers are being respective and appreciative of their contemporaries’ work, we could also learn from them. You don’t have to bring down someone to appreciate someone else’s work.

@@veenareddy5275 the biggest problem with him and as well as others is that. They don't concentrate on the character arcs etc. to tell stories. They just write segments of scenes that they stitch together and call it screenplay n storytelling..that's poor writing to me. To answer to your point about emotions, he rarely does it. What he does is give goosebumps moments around a particular emotion/scene to mask it in a way for people to believe he is conveying it perfectly. Is what I feel
