He completed his ug degrees in maths and economics in Bombay then he moved to canada as he got a job as a bank clerk there then he completed ug degree in English in the university of Toronto, Inspired by literature , he started publishing short stories and novels . emergency period was in the mid of 1970s, He may be witnessed that terrifying incidents which was also given in his work . I think u could got my point that inspiration to write novels came to him later
