Even though I feel very burnt out, All in all I believe the end result was totally worth it! So here some facts about the project below! Fun Facts: - I did this entire orchestration in one single project file, hence it took a solid 1 minute to load the file, and another 4 minutes to load all the instruments/sfx due to the colossal nature of it. - I accidentally put "Bonetrousle" before "Sans." and I was too far into the production to switch the positions, so I came up with a creative way in the video to make use of it instead. - The 6 months of production included both Nugisdrawing and Alec8ter creating a list of potential OSTs I could cover, refining it until we had the final list which took a total of one month. - The exclamation mark in "Spear of Justice!" is intentional. - "Bergentrückung / ASGORE" was to orginally have badass german narration in it's intro stage but I couldn't find time to record my lines. - "Bonetrousle" was originally supposed to be a big band jazz orchestra version but it didn't work out too well. - "Heartache" took the longest to cover. - I aimed to make Your Best Nightmare's intro as nightmare fuel as possible. For the first part, I actually sampled a real recording of the infamous "Upsweep". It is an unexplained underwater acoustic recording by NOAA in 1991. To this day, the origin and what caused the sounds remains unknown. - "Your Best Nightmare" is the first time I utilized three-dimensional audio powered by DearReality! - "Your Best Nightmare" has morse code somewhere. Try to find it! - "Your Best Nightmare" originally had an even more terrifying laugh of Flowey that I edited with sound design and creative audio, yet it was so disturbing that even I decided to tone down it's rather horrific nature. - "Your Best Nightmare / Finale" uses a power drill as an instrument that I recorded whilst my room was being renovated. This track was the most challenging one in the medley which was partly inspired by DOOM's soundtrack. - "Megalovania" uses the largest amount of Jet Engines I have ever used in a single piece, with over five instances of it. - My personal favourite piece is actually "Spider Dance"! - Yes, I did incorporate some passages from Attack on Titan into ASGORE's theme! - Until this production began, I have never played or watched Undertale at all. Once I binged watched the game, I understood that I would never have given this medley proper justice if I didn't know the context of these tracks. Research is very important kids!

To me the BoneTrousle part represents how, at first, Frisk is kinda terrified, the start is a bit scary and off putting, but starts to calm down and become a bit more silly, like Frisk calming down and starting to enjoy the scene. The end still becomes absoluteky epic, like Frisk maybe starting to view Papyrus as very cool!

oh my god the epic orchestral intro for undertale and then just becoming guitars until the orchestra slowly builds up behind im crying this is the most gorgeous cover ive ever heard in my whole life

my favorite part was the sans jazz cover. it just fits his personality so much.

This medley really captures what I call "first time adrenaline." It's like you're reliving everything again, you get goosebumps, you start to focus in on nothing but the screen. "YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE" was really good. The sudden change to "YOUR BEST FRIEND" then back to "YOUR BEST NIGHTMARE" and the scenes with "UNDERTALE" were really well captured. Bravo!

I have no idea if there even is a way to put how much I absolutely ADORE this into words. I’ve always loved Undertale, and I think that the main reason why I grew to love it so much was thanks to its music. I’ve heard a bunch of different covers and remixes, but yours has to be the best one I’ve heard. Throughout the whole fifty minutes or so I went through emotions ranging from AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (in the best way possible) to *almost aggressively jamming to the music*. If I love my all time favorite tracks from the game in their original version, I don’t think there’s a word for the way I feel about them here. They sound so in-character and also a million times more epic, like aren’t supposed to be for a game, but for the soundtrack of life if you heard background music IRL? I don’t know if that makes sense. Thank you so much for making this, it’s the ‘I would rather take the risk of damaging my ears than play it quietly because I physically need to feel the music shaking my bones’ kind of good :)

I am honestly so happy that Hopes and Dreams/Save the World, my favorite undertale ost, got the grand and amazing treatment it got. That key change near the end of Save the World was unexpected and literally gave me chills.

Made my favorite songs in the entire ost even better. Spider Dance had me bopping my head the entire time, those trumpets and i think violins were nuts. I don't have to explain how cool the guitar was on Death by Glamour. Undertale, it almost made me cry...again, almost like i heard it for the first time again. And uhhh...not to get sappy but this song means a lot to me, so thank you Karu. Off the the sentimental stuff, Asgore's theme truly sounds like a broken King's last stand for his shattered kingdom, truly a masterpiece. I also like how the strings and vocals kinda sound like AOT, made it even more of a banger. Believe me, when I went through my Undertale phase, I listened to WAYYYY too many megalovania covers, this is certainly one of the best. Hopes and Dreams felt like I was being cheered on by the orchestra all over again, this style is so fitting for this song. Side note, the seamless transition between Hopes and Dreams and Save the World insane, crazy talent you have! On the topic of Save the World, the end where it shows the montage of all the good times you had with the characters, this is entirely my honest opinion, and not just flattery, it is leagues better than the original. "His Theme" gave me a comforting sense of melancholy, thats all the words I can sum it up in, the rest the stuff I can't verbalize, and that's a good thing. The last goodbye had me swaying side to side, and dancing poorly across my room, such a good version of this song, once again, the best. A quick thing that I forgot to type was I love the Guitar and especially the percussion, it carries the tempo along soooo well. Sorry for the long comment, I simply could not contain myself, good music inspires me after all. Your little Adage in the credits, "Immerse, Take Heart, Inspire" they are not just words, but words with meaning, if you get what I'm goin for. The views may seem small, but comparing this HOURS video to the other 3-10 minute videos is a LOT of people who watched this entire video!! That's great, you did an AMAZING job!!

I can already tell this is gonna be great. The oboe, bells, the moving percussion, it’s all absolutely wonderful. Beautiful chef kiss! Not to mention you added a verse repetition to solidify Once Upon A Time as the official opening. The beginning of Fallen Down sounds almost like a mother singing a lullaby which follows Toriel’s attitude. Swaying and sweetfully warming. And I personally like the added reprise melody so it doesn’t get left out. The reprise sounds playful in itself just like how it’s supposed to be in the the pacifist route. The french horn was an added twist I didn’t expect to enjoy! The ending chorus, stunning. Heartache starts with immediate drums to get ready for some more serious stuff. The snare really helped with that. Strings before brass coming in was a nice layering method. There were definitely some interesting instrument choices but I wouldn’t complain too much. The execution for the most part is just as cool. Trilling trumpet?? Yes please! The return to Fallen Down Reprise was eye-opening as it marks the true beginning of the journey. Interesting drama for Papyrus’ melody, I have to say. Kinda Halloweenish for a skeleton XD. Organ is off putting for a transition but I guess you can’t criticize when the freeway is for booming trumpets. I really wanted there to be more marimba in the percussion. But I have to say I love the drive given from brass and drums. Interesting transition into the sans melody. I’m LOVING the jazzy feel of it all! Trumpets, muted trumpets, saxes, everything! Even the piano! And the added Megalovania melody! The snow time feel for Snowdin is clarity. Especially with the piano for the beginning. The oboe and flute really did this portion justice. Chimes and other bell instruments also fit the wintertime vibes Snowdin is supposed to have so all of it is wonderful. Great warm ending. I love the ominous start to Undying Justice arch. The combo between Undyne and Spear Of Justice is made clear. Blaring trumpet is perfect for the main melody, though I wish it was paired with trombone or some other brass instrument to give it backing. The percussion is great as always, one of the reasons why I like your work is that there’s always a balance between melodies and the drive that is the percussion drums and other instruments. Starting off Spider Dance with an interesting mix of instruments. Sounds like a mix of jazz and salsa music. I do enjoy the calm bits as a break before going back to the blaring melody again. Electric guitar??! HELL YEAH!!!! The build-up is slow, but I love the tiny layering bits that keep me on the edge of my seat! The 8-bit feel for a robot like Mettaton was a nicely added detail. And finally the track I was waiting for, and I’m already in love. Guitar and strings are paired wonderfully. It’s like I’m watching an orchestral concert. The glockenspiel is like the icing on the cake. The gradual layering of each instrument variety makes it all the better. I can go on and on about this! The story telling while listening to this makes the saddest parts of the story more sad with the glitched effects of the synth and piano. And the way the instruments come back is just a surprise! The note change with chorus, I ascended. Nice added His Theme melody at the end. Interesting genre chosen for Bergentrückung. I’m digging the drum lead into ASGORE. I wasn’t expecting the use of synth but it slaps! French horn hits different for a royal figure such as Asgore, that and the added guitar. Oh boy, I’m loving the distortion of music and score with this one. Your version of Your Best Nightmare has probably one of the most creative and downright creepy beginning. Music at the beginning, if I’m honest, doesn’t sound too fitting with the original. Although I love the subtle soul melodies and their assigned genres. The return for Finale was awesome. The brass was definitely the missing component in Your Best Nightmare. The beginning for Megalovania was like hearing something from a movie OST! Using different verse melodies to prep the beginning was WIZARD. Synth was a wonderful choice that tickled my musical preferences! The blaring trumpet accompanied with the electric guitar was also something I couldn’t ignore. If I’m correct, you used the SSBU version for inspiration didn’t you! Not complaining. Digging the snare portion. And you HAD to go back to the Once Upon a Time AND Papyrus’ melody!!! Yes, this is perfect. My favorite track of the entire OST, AND I LOVE THE OPENING. The instruments used are perfection. I’m very picky when it comes to people making a rendition of Hopes and Dreams and I can say that you hit all my musical preferences! I’m blown away! Electric guitar, blaring brass, and interesting use of acoustic guitar! I would’ve never thought that instrument fitted so well there. The chorus near the end was also great. THE TRANSITION TO SAVE THE WORLD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. The trill of trumpet returns and I’m loving it. It’s like we’ve come full circle back to a traditional band-orchestration-choir pacifist finale and it’s definitely glorious! The calming of the instruments at the end of Save The World was a nice foreshadow to His Theme. The chords for the ending closer was a pretty touch. And the closer being Last Goodbye? Who can say no to more jazz!!!? And piano!?^^

This is freaking amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Undertale so much!!!!! I honestly think that what the film 2001: A Space Odyssey was for movies, Undertale was for video games! A game changing piece of art that changed how everyone viewed that form of art. And this medley is one of the best tributes to Undertale I've ever seen!!!!! I loved every minute of it!!!!!!!!

I was not mentally prepared for how hard this hits

Admittedly, I was somewhat skeptical when this came up in my recommended. I mean, a 50 minute "Epic Orchestral" medley? As someone who has both written for orchestra and made an Undertale medley, I am acutely aware of how difficult it is to orchestrate effectively and make a medley that has proper flow and pacing. I was about to write this off as likely just a poorly orchestrated mess, but I decided to give it a shot. This humbled me in a way that I obviously needed to be. After reading about the work you put into this and the creative sounds and uncommon instruments you used to create this, it became clear that you know how to orchestrate incredibly well and put in a lot of work to make your renditions of each piece sound unique. Honestly, I feel like medley isn't even the right word for what you've made. To me, this is a suite. Rather than writing transitional sections between each piece, they stand out on their own as they take the listener through the game's story. My main critique is that the low end could use a bit of a boost, particularly during Your Best Nightmare. Giving the bass some more depth and power would make that DOOM-esque sound come out a lot more. Other than that, this is pretty rock-solid. Absolutely massive props. This is some really incredible work, and a pleasant surprise. (Oh, and bonus points for pulling inspiration from DOOM. Those games have amazing music and such a cool sound.)

The fact this was premiered on my birthday made it more heartfelt for me. I've only played Undertale for such a short time, but it left a dent in my soul only this game can fill. I turned 20 this year and I honestly didn't know where I'd be and who I'll be at 20, but despite everything, it's still me.

Finally...it's here. The long awaited masterpiece. I've been asking for this since last year, but other people voted for HTTYD so I thought it's not gonna make it (don't get me wrong, the HTTYD cover is awesome!). Karu said he would make this, but I really didn't expect this to come out so quick. I am super excited to hear this because I have been busy with choir practices and have not been in a real good mood for the past month. This thing, I hope it shines my inner heart and once again illuminate the darkness in my body. Fun Fact: Do you know that the day after this video's release is my choir performance? Damn. Just finished undertale pacifist after missing something and doing the neutral ending, but i reset it and beat it today, very beautiful covers btw! (Yes, i beat it all in one day)

The part where it switched to Save The World was so good. This soundtracks such a masterpiece.
