Girl artist today could never compete with the ladies back in the day. Real pure full out live vocals. Her vocals are amazing breath control that's a hard song to sing in that pitch.

I will reference this performance when people say dancing in the reason Chris Brown always lip sync. This Queen danced, skipped with heels & a mini'dress on, sang live & wasn't winded. 🔥🔥

Stop it there is not many people who like Chris brown or dance as hard as Chris. Not many artist can pull off the Turn Up The Music choreo. You can’t compare a man and a woman dancing, Beyoncé is not out dancing Chris brown and that’s just facts. Shit even Bobby brown danced better and harder, so often to the point that he’d talk a few lyrics to catch his breath.

The most impressive thing to me is she learned not only how to perform this in the studio, she figured out how to do it 100% effectively live, and those are two different things. There’s reasons she’s still out there today performing, and that’s one of them: being a true pro, and a true artist.

What made the 80s so magical was they kept it simple. Stars weren't getting all these crazy plastic surgeries and always running around naked on the stage. Just come out, sing the song and keep it moving.

Trailblazer, living ICON!! 16x Grammy nominated Broadway Superstar that could dance all you favs under the table. Yes, I love Vanessa but chile; Karyn is a pioneer in her own right, with a voice like no other. One of two Queen's of the NewJack swing Era too.
