In this night walk video, I show you around the downtown area of Kashiwa City in Chiba prefecture. Most of this city's business and activities are centered around Kashiwa Station. Lots of buildings, businesses, walkways, and other things were built up all around the station area so it makes for a really nice, but not too big, place for exploring.
Kashiwa City is a satellite city of Tokyo, meaning that a large percentage of the people who live there actually commute to Tokyo every day for work. A large percentage also commute down to Funabashi and Chiba City areas as well.
If you have any questions or comments, please leave them down below! And don't forget to give a thumbs up if you liked the video. Thanks for watching!

Even though I live near here for long long time, it's the first time in ten years for checking the each shop and restaurant. Some of them are still open, the others are closed. I'm really glad to see and feel the city, Kashiwa. Thanks!

Fere Bright! I never been here before. I like the fact that even a relatively unknown mall in Chiba outside of central Tokyo has a large Louis Vuitton store; Meanwhile you pretty much have to go to an "upscale" mall in the US just to see one of their stores. The whole area in itself seems like a chill spot to drink and eat with friends, but you don't want to deal with all the crowded Tokyo mobs. It reminds me a lot of Setagaya and Kawasaki. Seems like a nice area to live if you want civilization without the crowds. Oh in fact the station platform looks exactly like Tachikawa station, without the big red arches. Sorry missed the premier, zonked out after dinner and just woke up lol.

Fere bright, I have never been this enthralled with just watching someone walk around before. God, I miss just running around and exploring my old town, but living in the middle of nowhere is almost devoid of that kind of fun for the most part. Thanks for all the great videos, and hopefully I'll get to experience the big city again some point soon!

Hey Cory. At around 49 minutes in the video you say you don’t drink alcohol anymore. I’m not aware of your personal reason but I do know that I’m celebrating my 5th year of sobriety this week! I used to love IPAs as well and I’m lucky to have found a couple of non-alcoholic IPA brands where I live in Canada. The overall taste and bitterness are great. The market for non-alcoholic beer has really opened up in the last few years. Cheers!
@CoryMay81
@CoryMay81 2 жыл бұрын
Congrats on 5 years of sobriety! Very awesome. Yeah, I quit in Oct 2020. I wish Japan had non-alcoholic IPAs. I bet it's impossible to find. I miss the taste of good hops. Keep on going! Greatest decision of our lives, eh? hehehe Cheers!

I'm going to wait for them to open the new section at the flagship store in Ikebukuro. It's going to be huge since they are connecting the current one with the vacant building next door. It'll be the largest anime store in Japan once it's open July this year. Thanks for watching!

That's so dumb that during the pandemic outdoor seating was not allowed! In London and the rest of the British Isles outdoor seating became basically required as Coronavirus did not spread effectively outdoors!
@CoryMay81
@CoryMay81 2 жыл бұрын
They also tried to stop the sale of alcohol at restaurants and bars saying it was a direct cause of spreading the virus. But many places didn't follow that rule and still operated like usual. They just didn't have the outdoor seating as usual, so as not to draw attention to their business. But inside was packed with people, shoulder-to-shoulder, no masks, smoking indoors, talking loudly and drunkenly. The police didn't crack down on that and there was no penalty, so many people didn't care the entire pandemic. I just have to say that Japan's handling of the entire pandemic has been a shit show.
