this was one lesson when he was 13. kasparov did actually offer to mentor Magnus, but Magnus declined, so Kasparov never was Magnus' mentor

@@geezuphosdown12 it's not his mother tongue and his parents are norwegian. So that means he learned it And just tell me, how many languages did you speak when you were 13? I am betting at least 3 sandwiches that, unless your parents taught you a second language, you couldn't speak any second language as well as he speaks English. It's not that he's a genius, I just think it's a testament to Norway to make children who speak 2 languages this early

The game they were talking about in the beginning was one of the magnus games of brilliancy where he sacrified his queen for a back ranker checkmate, however he won more material in the end, and won the game with ease. The sac was really hard to find in that position but he found it.
