It reminds me of Atlantic screwing over Snow Tha Product. She's a Bay Area Mexican-American rapper and singer who's amongst the best in the game, a hard female MC like back in the 80s and 90s, and she's been in the game for over a decade, refusing to be anything but her authentic self. She's finally making a name for herself and doing it independently, with her main KZfaq channel (out of three) having about 750K followers. Snow Tha Product's a lyrical beast. She's got barzzzzzzz. She out-raps Nicki and Cardi, switching back and forth between rapid-fire English and Spanish (see "Bilingue": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oKl7Z5eHsODJg2g.html), and she easily keeps up with choppers like Tech N9ne and the Strange Music crew (like in "So Dope": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aMiempxis5a8hmg.html . Tech slept on her too long and literally missed signing her to Strange Music by a day, when Atlantic snatched her up). Atlantic wanted Snow to show major T & A like Nicki and Cardi and Iggy, though, and she wasn't about that (she's sexy af while leaving something to the imagination). So she got stuck ghostwriting for some of these more famous chicks fake enough to need ghostwriters, in exchange for studio time. Cardi B is rumoured to be amongst the artists Snow has ghostwritten for (she's with Atlantic), and Snow gets compared to Cardi sometimes (and then whoever made the comparison gets quickly corrected by Snow fans) (Snow raps about the ghostwriting issue a lot, but she can't say exactly who she ghostwrote for because of an NDA). It took a few years, but she recently got out of her contract with Atlantic ("Faith" has a similar feel to Kat Dahlia's "Gangsta", and portrays Snow's crew busting her out. coming from Miami myself. looking as if I'm fluent yet barely speak any lol and the majority of my friends speak Spanish, I just grew so much appreciation for Latino culture. I miss it. I listened to it in Spanish finally maybe a year or so ago, and this is the one I prefer to this day. granted I do not understand but a couple of words here and there but still, this version says so much more for Miami than the English version. it just does. its hard to describe. and Im really missing ceviche. do you know no one here knows what cafe con leche is? like come on? that's a staple anywhere in Florida. not just Miami. come on?!
