Farket, Slugs are meant to be shot at the limbs of enemies to dismember them! Which your anti-dismemberment mod may be screwing with. They are actually quite effective against puffies when used correctly.

slugs are actually just longer ranged shotgun shells. hence why instead of a lot of pellets a slug is just one big bullet in the shell,

The revolver feels odd but i think making it a dual wield thing would be perfect. Make two spawns for it and you start dual wielding once you get both of them

When building ramps, you can right click and build stairs. It might help with making the base and the zip line towers a little less bland

There is a .... bug?.. feature?... tech? whatever you want to call it with the shotgun. (unless its been patched out) if you are low on buckshot ammo but have lots of slug for instance, you can switch to slug ammo, reload, then switch back to buckshot and it will use the slugs ammo as buckshot. You just have to have at least 1 buckshot in your inventory to be able to switch to it after the reload. And FYI slugs are to be used for distance shots and buckshot for close quarters.

Dragons Breath is a novelty slug. Just a regular slug with magnesium in it to make a nifty firework spray. That's it. Doesn't increase damage, or anything. Though it could be used to set mutants on fire.

@@brad2751 imagine the flex though. You've moved to a different spot on the map and light your campfire with a golden shotgun Besides, dragon's breath in video games is usually pretty fun. Yeah it's not a viable weapon IRL, but setting mutants on fire would be pretty on brand with the rest of the game

You can add the flashlight plus the laser sight to the crossbow. Wouldn't recommend though

Its good to have the real you back again :) Btw Stalactites grow down from the cave ceiling, and stalagmites grow up from the cave floor. I remember it by thinking "Stalactites hold tight to the ceilling."

12:06 that is currenty being used to “decipher” the counting down in the cube (a timer with these symbols was added to the cutscene) so now we also know how long it takes between cycles. Cant remember exactly how much but more then was expected..

@Farket As great as SotF is, do you prefer the original game? Somehow all the guns have made the threats less serious, nothing beat the adrenaline of the armsy or cowman running at you when all you had was a bow!

Love it when virginia stomps Kelvin (like she runs up and stomps rabbits) and then starts whiping her eyes he's hurt lol. Sometimes when he gets stuck or so its really frustrating.. you hit kelvin (to unstuck em)and virginia will sometimes give an extra kick after. Or even give him a kick every now and then when he is being stupid once you hit him. (he will also shake his head constantly when walking up and holding the weapon you hit him with!! Like no dont hit me again please HAHA. oh and dont hold your turtles eggs to long in your bagpack.. they will hatch i found out yesterday . cheers

Never in my life heard a take on katanas like that, I thought it would’ve been related to the Forest… anyways they really should have a way to sharpen weapons and have their damage lessen the more blunt it becomes.

I'm gonna put the upgrade thing in a field with a ton of traps surrounding it. Slugs make a single big hole, bird shot makes several small holes.

You can add flashlight attachment and laser sight on the crossbow so you can do that.

I love the final luxury bunker, so much so im currently using it as a base with a compound around the entrance for protection, Ive got a few odd bases dotted around the island and a stone fort up by the ice cave in the snowy mountain peaks but nothing spectacular or on the same scale wise as the one youve built so far. (hauling stones up the mountain was a pain lol) Now im just hoping Endnight utilises the oceon abit more in future patches which gives our diving gear abit more use too, maybe some oceon bunkers, a wrecked submarine under the water/cargo ship way out at sea or just to add the ability to build rafts/log houseboats because without using mods i really miss living out on the water given theres so much of it. If they did that they could also go into making cannibal/mutant water based enemies which we havent seen in the franchise yet. I also hope once youve completely finished youre grand island renervation you share your save file because id love to take a tour around it at my own leasure instead of watching in awe and getting the feeling of stealing your ideas for myself lmao

Farket the slugs are a single projectile while the other ammo types have a spread. You need to be accurate with them unlike buckshot

16:50 In the winter cannibals spawn on the ice lakes. Didn't know they spawn there in the other seasons too. Would explain why living near a lake is more dangerous in the winter.

I think once in a while you should turn off the censoring mod off cam and use the katana to farm body parts very quickly. That way you could stock up on greg recipe ingredients

If you hit a hanging body (one of the worker guys), they can drop loot, I only just found this out now. So far, I've gotten pretty good things from them such as wire, food, and drinks.

Funny story about the Indiana Jones scene, that actually wasn't in the script, and he was supposed to have a drawn out fight scene with the guy... But, as Ford was pretty sick that day, he basically said F*** it and 'shot him'. They liked it so much they kept it.

All these years we thought he hates the katana because of that DPSPSPS (damage per second per stamina per second) stuff, but nah, farket just doesnt think samurais are cool. Hes wrong, they are awesome, but at least he worked up the courage to share his true feelings. And hey, opinions are opinions, nothing more. 9:22 i didnt see you cook it but when you get the water before putting it on the fire you actually use 2 full turtle shells of water to get the 4 drinks rather than the 2 you have

I have been wanting to see how high you could build a tower or building in this game. The closest was 300 levels in another video and they still had'nt reached the mechanical limits of the game. To expand on that, I am not sure if you can send anything besides logs on zip lines whether vertically or laterally. Is it possible to send corpses or blocks on the zipline as well? It would be nice if you could obtain a space suit from one of the bodies as for cold weather and such.

Regarding the slugs, they should have inverted it. The slugs being more rare, doing more damage, but having less of a spread so you have to aim more carefully. If I had to guess, they added them so the shotgun could get a bit more range, but they really should hit a lot harder regardless.

slugs should be more powerful against singular targets if it hits, buckshot should be weaker but with a wider spread so more likely to get a grazing hit even if you would of missed using slugshot

slugs are decent when hitting weak points and can actually carry at range since its a single round, buckshot hits like a tank but the pellet spread will make it useless if enemies are too distant, just so u know

Yeah, you can only have one of those weapons, so when you took V’jajaj’s gun, that one disapeared. It should have fell to the ground, but also, maybe we should be happy it’s not the golden one that disapeared?😂

19:22 not really because you can also get the flashlight attachment in a cave (I think with the shovel). And you can also put the flashlight on the crossbow so you need to get 3. It places on top but you can still aim, although its much more difficult..

I think using stairs instead of ramps would make the zipline towers look much more realistic. The angle of the ramps are very high and look weird when traversing up. Maybe you could try one with stairs instead

Slugs is for hunting but now that the rifle is a thing idk. I've heard getting a Ryzen 7 5800x3d or Ryzen 7 7800x3d paired with atleast a 3070 or better makes inventory barely lag

Hey Farket, I think that you misunderstand how a slug works. A slug is a single projectile in a shotgun, unlike buckshot which is around nine. You are probably missing, and that is why it does not seem good.

I think the katana can’t be used to its full potential unless you have dismemberment on, the katana just destroys everything, aim for a leg and the fight is over
