As a fellow student of the sword, I've come across your channel recently and I've really been enjoying your philosophy. I hope I can learn to teach with your depth and intimacy one day.

I'm an unconventional samurai. Hikari no kaifuku Ryu main rules. Is to admit defeat in the face of victory. My sensei said in vrokwn English, always expect defeat. If you see you have lost at start. Yet refuse to give up or fail. Even death is a March in victory. Honor is key, humility is irrevocable. And as tiny as the sentiment is. When I realized what it meant. I didn't realize the power it held. In authentic kata. I took many cuts. One in the head. "MEN" if you expect. It has no effect but the mortal. The mortal is the plane in which you can maintain in thought and action.

I've purchased the 2 kihon basic katana courses and Its been a life saver and your videos opened my mind about training beyond just training with a katana. Even during my work, I use my bosses broom stick practicing when I'm not at home. With no excuses, I still find a way to practice. Excellent video as usual Mr. Norcross!!!

Your passion inspires me. Me watching this and seeing how much of yourself you give into training and classes and your views on helping the social dent as of the happening of covid, really spoke to me. This is the first video that I watched from your channel and I already subscribed half-way through. Keep on making these seemingly great videos. ^w^

Brother, remake this video and remove the sadness that was covid. Make a happy video. One that a Samurai would be proud to watch. Osu

I dont practice swords much but I had injured my shoulder and something in my mind kept telling me to practice sword. I followed part of this warm up and my shoulder feels good. I feel a good amount of blood flow and exertion in the muscles. This will be good therapy.

thank you very much Todd , had really good time watching some of your videos . . it's been roughly 15 years since my bujinkan dojo closed there in south of france and I still deeply miss our art . But I'm happy for your students they got lots of things to learn from you through this path and your philosophy .
