Thank you so much for this!!! In the spring I will be doing trail maintenance and ordered a silky saw. I can not wait to get started.

The big boy 2000 i find the best all round saw ,I used that one for many many years they do a great job and handle comfortable up to around 8 to 10 inch logs i have cut bigger with that one but you have to be careful. the 500 is in a class all its own they are amazing. , but for normal trail clearing the 2000 yellow handle one is a stunning tool. glad you liked the video. just remember cuts on the pull stroke only , its a learned technique when you first use them. thank you for watching.

I'm curious. Is your Big Boy 2000 the model with medium teeth? I see one model with XL teeth that has a yellow handle.

This one has xl teeth . in over 10 years i have broken 1 blade and that was my fault, I have cut hundreds of trees and logs on the same blade. i got the 500 because on the larger trees its just so much easier. but both cut like crazy, I have over the years used many different saws but nothing even comes close to the silkys.

@@davebloggs I'm looking at the Silky Pro Big Boy 2000 online. It says the blade is roughly 14 inches long. That seems to be shorter than the one you're using.

@@5USgRWFH Just checked the 2000 its about 14 inches. thats the yellow handle one, the black handle one is the 500 with a half meter blade. the xl teeth is the way to go as the blade is slightly curved and wow does that make a difference.
