I keep saying... That end chord is perfect. Has a very menacing, dark quality. A friend said that part, to him, harkens back to their 90s era.

What a song. It's the pure essence of Katatonia; from the weeping guitar melodies, to the pensive and evocative lyrics, to the absolutely massive chorus that Jonas delivers with utmost conviction. It's a song to sing your heart out to.

Heavy or not, I'm grateful that Katatonia is back and making more music. Not every song has to be guitar go burrr. Both heavy and light songs have their place in the album. The vocals on this one is winter personified \m/

This song is a dynamic journey through vibrant darkness. One of the definitions of atrium is anatomical cavity or passage of the heart that receives blood from the veins & forces it into the ventricles. By this, the title relates to the lyrics in that dark forces pushing their way into one's life will get in by any means necessary.

What’s funny is that this was announced the moment I woke up from a sleep where I dreamt about being front row at a Katatonia concert (Anders Nyström was singing lead on a song I never heard before, which stood out to me). This song is good! They REALLY teased me with the last 20 seconds with that old signature Katatonia sound being played for a bit.

Yeah, many songs on that album are. 'Sulfur' and 'The Future of Speech' are a couple other good examples. I'd say the album as a whole is very melodic.

Agreed. Best lineup they've ever had. Roger adds the guitar hero aspect to Anders' beautiful, melodic and unique-sounding leads, Niklas' bass is driving and progressive, and Daniel is simply one of the most inventive and powerful drummers in music right now. Great stuff.

I so love Katatonia!!! Their music is wonderful 😊. Wasn’t expecting another album for a year or so. It would be amazing for them to release a new album at least every 2 yrs. I can’t get enough. Going to see them in Harrisburg PA next month and they’re probably going to play a few new tunes!

I was there when the triptych (Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Katatonia) were at their peak - somewhere around the years 1999 to 2006. I was a teenager then, in college later, living in a magical place with an awesome circle of people and unique music. Katatonia will always be in my heart just for creating this kind of strange, atmospheric, memorable life for me. Any form they return, I welcome them. So happy they are the true Dead End Kings.

I haven't been this obsessed with a Katatonia song since ever. I've been a fan since 2006 when I bought LFDGD and replayed the intro to dispossession over and over. I love all of their music but this one really caught me at a good time.
