Happy Friday! Today's video is a remaster of an old "Your Name" cover I performed back in my earlier music years. I've updated the sheet music to reflect the changes as well. It's now perfectly synced with Yojira Noda's (from RADWIMPS) piano performance in the original piece, except for the climactic section as I adapted it to tackle the string parts, and the final section is an addition by me.
"Katawaredoki" is a calm ballad version of the movie's opening song, "Dream Lantern", with its own extension of the melody. It plays during that fateful encounter, that's all I'll say in case you have not seen the movie yet! The title "Katawaredoki" is both mentioned and explained by Mitsuha's teacher during an earlier scene, it's "the time of day, when the sun just sets and you can't really call it day anymore nor is it night."
I recommend this for beginners! With the exception of bar 33-39, it's very simple and a good exercise in simple bass lines and phrasing. And no worries, I will definitely do more from this movie :)
