〔曲解説〕
この曲はシューベルト、グノーのアヴェ・マリアと並び、三大アヴェ・マリアとして、世界中で親しまれている曲です。
カッチーニはルネサンス末期からバロック初期にかけて活躍したイタリアの作曲家です。
この曲の作曲スタイルから察する事ができるように、ルネサンス〜バロック時代の音楽スタイルではありません。
真実は分かっていませんが、旧ソ連の作曲家、ウラディーミル・ヴァヴィロフが1970年頃に作曲した作品だと言われています。
ヴァヴィロフはこの曲以外でも、過去の作曲家の名前を使って作品を発表する事が良くあったそうです。
理由についても謎めいているのですが、旧ソ連の支配下で、芸術表現に制約があったためではないかとか、神秘的な演出だとか、色々言われています。
そんな背景は関係なく、哀愁漂う感動的なメロディのこの曲は、世界中の人々から愛され、クラシック界だけに留まらず、POPSの歌手にも歌い続けられています。また、様々な楽器に編曲されて演奏されています。
歌詞はラテン語による聖母マリアへの祈祷文ではなく、シンプルにAve Mariaのみを8小節単位のメロディに乗せて繰り返し、曲の最後に向かって盛り上げていく変奏曲のような形式で書かれています。

This piece, along with Schubert's and Gounod's Ave Maria, is one of the three most popular Ave Maria pieces in the world.
Caccini was an Italian composer active from the late Renaissance to the early Baroque period.
As can be inferred from the compositional style of this piece, it is not in the style of music from the Renaissance to the Baroque period.
Although the truth is unknown, it is said to have been composed around 1970 by Vladimir Vavilov, a composer from the former Soviet Union.
It is said that Vavilov often used the names of other composers from the past in his works.
The reason for this is also a mystery, but it is said to be due to restrictions on artistic expression under the rule of the former Soviet Union, mystical direction, or some other reason.
Regardless of such backgrounds, the melancholy and moving melody of this song is loved by people all over the world, and it continues to be sung not only in the classical world but also by pop singers. It has also been arranged and performed on various instruments.
The lyrics are not a prayer to the Virgin Mary in Latin, but a simple Ave Maria, repeated over the melody in eight-bar units, in a variation-like format that builds toward the end of the song.
