I have found children's songs to be helpful, such as "Hämä-hämä-häkki" --itsy-bitsy spider. It helps similarly as singing the a-b-c song as children do to learn the alphabet. When learning a new language, you start out at the same level as a toddler so these simple songs are useful. It also makes you humble because you have to admit you know less than a child concerning the language. Your pride has to go into a pocket hidden away.

I really appreciate how you interpret the lyrics, in which you tell us the meaning of a short pharse or a sentence instead of just translating word by word. This way is more comprehensible. Kiitos paljon! 😃

I think I'heared the name Kuumaa, but I don't know the music. Most finnish language music I listen to is from Korpiklaani and Kotiteolisuus.

First I discovered The Rasmus, they sing in english so it's easy to understand their songs (I didn't know they're finnish). Then came Käärijä with his stunning and fun Cha Cha Cha, which made me curious about finnish music and artists. After Käärijä I discovered Kuumaa, and it was love at first listening, especially Tulipalo, Ylivoimainen and Rakastajan. Finnish language is very, very hard...😬... but their music is excellent! 😍

Love this. Great way to learnm and stufy language translating lyrics. More please! I didn't know this group or song. Mostly I know older artists, like egotrippi and even 22-Pistepirkko (who I saw live here in London some years ago!). Could you maybe translate some classic songs? Like Rakkauden Haudalla for example (Jonna Tarvomaa - written by Juice Leskinen of course)
