I feel incredibly privileged to have been fortunate enough to be at one of those amazing nights in London, it was mindblowing and without doubt one of the most memorable performances I've ever witnessed. I absolutely adore Kate Bush and she did not disappoint.

I took a day off work, got up at the crack of dawn, PC ready, mobile ready, landline ready...and couldn't get through to book. I sat and cried as it was my last chance to see her live. I adore her, always have and always will. God bless you, Kate ~ you're my world ❤

I didn't read any reviews prior to my night going but had to watch this on the first night. I ended up getting a return ticket at the box office an hour before her last show having queued up from 7.30 am, an absolutely fantastic emotional show.

Merci internet.

I imagine Kate Bush would personally despair at the vitriolic hatred spewed within the comments section here by her (presumably) 'fans'. So many people are just so narrow minded. You'd think that a fan of Kate's music would have more warmth in their persona than to so openly and spitefully criticise others.
@skyboswell

I've been a KB fan since 1978, and know many fans, and not one of them would make the sort of comments made in some parts of this thread. I love that these young women have been interviewed, to get the views and experiences of people who did not grow up with Kate's music as I did. Sure, it would have been lovely to have a fan who is a contemporary of Kate's also being interviewed, so we had a broader input of views and experiences, but this is still a lovely, gentle interview and I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it here.

How can Kate Bush be bonkers for liking things like the Sunset or putting the washing out...Just goes to show she is real, takes everything in, just like a writer would do.....observation is everything...in life! Especially if you are a creative person like Kate Bush is...You can hear her thoughts through her songs, that's what makes her so unique and a one of a kind. There's no one like her...She is like a female David Bowie.....he was also a one off.

Gemma Aterton had the nerve to claim to be "a big Kate Bush fan" and yet didn't even know the year in which "Hounds of Love" was released . The other one, Anna whatever, suggested Kates songs were about taking the washing out and looking at a sunset . Apart from alluding ONLY to the "Aerial" album (I'll bet she wouldn't be able to list ALL of Kate's albums) neither has she any clue as to the real meaning of Kate's lyrics .

Just like bowie. there's new wave, there's old wave, then there's bowie. There's everything then there's kate . Kate isn't an artist she's a life force , she's a fairy sent to make the world a better place. Sorry for the rant to much red wine

Why is it still so difficult for people to grasp the fact that a woman will take a great amount of time to focus on her family? that's a lot of important work going on and doesn't mean she's disappeared or not doing anything for everybody. Those women who continue to work like that most of the time decided not to have a family--but why should she have to choose
@BonhamsBongo

She set such a high standard with her music that it leaves millions of fans eager to hear/see more of her. Nobody denies her the right to live in relative seclusion with her family, fair play to her for being such a devoted mother. The lack of contact with the general public simply adds to her mystique, however, which in turn stirs more Kate fervour! A catch 22 indeed.

When an artist makes me like a type of music I normally ignore then I know that artist is top of the line, Kate Bush not only made me like some songs but many of her visuals were/are fetching too. I don't think it was that bad. I went to see Kate Bush on Tuesday 9th and it was fantastic. If you haven't seen the show it is very difficult to describe it. It was very theatrical and utterly amazing! They did really well to 1) not give too much information away to ruin it for people who have got tickets for the later shows, and 2) to describe it simply enough, and as I said it is so difficult to describe the awesomeness of the show!!

"be happy with a more domestic life, where she could work on her recipes"...... Right there is the sort of contempt the BBC has for millions and millions of normal people. Their particular kind of 'hyper-liberalism' didn't allow them to imagine that a working woman might want to step away to spend time being domestic and/or maternal.

We can all lament on what could of been but the most important thing is the music and songs. She was so successful she could retire early. I think she would have invested her money wisely. This last gig made her multiple millions in a very short amount of time. We probably won't get anymore live shows but shes done "this womans work" . I feel sorry for her ex bassist/boyfriend/studio engineer Del Palmer. She was his world and he's never moved on emotionally to anyone since which is understandable.

Vorrò sempre un immenso bene a Kate, irresistibilmente❣️ Antonella, from Mantua, Italy! Italia.

The two women’s reviews didn’t sound that bad to me. When they described it as a typical rock gig it was only in relation to the opening salvo , which was how the shows were. The shows were said to begin with a typical rock and roll type band , and slowly began to transform into a more dramatic theater, with actors in costume and the like.

I love Kate bush but the ‘the’ first was Noosha fox. As individual and arguably talented as Kate bush but Kate shone from a very young age because of her talent and those pioneers prior...love ‘em all.🎶❤️🎶

Anna Calvi must one of the most boring interviewees ever, she got a gold ticket with a dinner for free and she does promo for Kate Bush the day after on television. whereas in fact it is very pedestal, she's just there to tell Kate Bush fans, go to my concerts, buy my albums. ahahh Oh Yeah yeah yeah veyr touchy very touchy

I found this intensely irritating. Irritating that two of them are mere children who were not around when Kate first appeared and put out her seminal works. Also irritating that most of the people who seemed to get tickets for these shows are 'celebs' of some kind - actresses, tv personalities, musicians etc. Why the fuck should they get to have first dibs when most of them are not even old enough to remember her first time around. Why do these peoples opinions even matter? This was an awful piece. Awful awful awful.

+aquablushgirl And it's annoying when anybody says 'at the time' this and that. Kate is great at anytime, If her work would come out now, she'd be even greater, considering the (non-existing) competition. Adele? Give me a break.

+aquablushgirl can,t younger people who were too young or non existent when kate bush had her career not like her voice too?
@aquablushgirl

Martina Murray They can like it but in these circumstances i.e an interview about her work, they should not have been chosen, and however much they like her, they cannot have the same relationship to Kate's music as someone who was around when she first put the music out. They were the wrong choice and that it is not debatable.

+aquablushgirl lots of people born in the 80,s and after grew up with her music too,kate bush is regularly played on the radio like the Beatles,so it is totally possible for some younger people to have the same relationship with her music. There are teenagers who search out music from past decades when its not always played on the radio..

funny how this second/third generation sanctimonious gushing of how wonderful and strange and how moving it is, doesn't reflect on the fans who tried to get tickets on the day, but were locked out, only to find after the 15 minutes the tickets sold out, and then the hospitality tickets start to be offered, £450, £1000 etc etc. Then starts this sort of touting of normal tickets for extortionate prices. Scam after scam, this was meant to be a scam proof exercise, and it proved anything but.
