If u think about it renesmee’s powers come from both Bella and edwards a form of both hearing thoughts and able to see them like Bella in the final scene of breaking dawn pt 2.

Renesmee's gift is not touch to tell the truth. It's projecting her thoughts to someone through touch disregarding their mental shields. Which is how she was able to penetrate bella's extremely strong shield.

Garret knew that he was the only one who could ad well. In the books they quickly talked about how the vamps were practicing together and Garret was hanging around Kate most of the time so he got use to it. He fell in love with her first shock.

To bad they didn’t age the characters a bit. If they had made all the young characters in the college age and made the scenes college mature then focused more on the mythical world and less on the romance it would have been an amazing story.

It's a mental ilussion, it's not actual electricity, that's what Kate's powers are about and that's why Bella can counter them

The electricity is a psionic type it can convince her opponent's mind they are getting actually shocked in their nerve system that's why bella shield can stop it

Yes but Jane would very quickly wipe their asses, Kate needs to touch Jane to use her powers while Jane can be far far away and it will still work, not to mention the intensity of the pain is very different as well. Zafrina I'd say is more of a "who strikes first" situation but Jane's powers still seem to outmatch that of Zafrina's.

She's going to mow down multiple targets by constantly changing her focus. Meanwhile, Zafrina's power do NOT block sound, smell, and touch. It's only visual illusion. It's also implied that Zafrina's power don't reach far as her job during the battle wasn't to stop the large portion of attacking Volturi guards but focus on only those that gets close to Bella. Her job was ultimately blinding the few that manages to get close to Bella. (terrifying fact: Alec can cover MILES with his gift. He can potentially incapacitate thousands if needed). In Eclipse, Volturi only sent Jane, Felix and 2 other guards to deal with the newborn army which consisted of 20 members. Volturi was confident that Jane + 3 guards was enough to exterminate them all.

It was very reflective of the time back then. My Chemical Romance, emo wave, vampire craze...BD2 was released when that phase was more or less over and is more timeless because of it. I can appreciate that the movies are reminiscent of their time but I see your point as well :)

Its not actual electricity, its a kind of psychic pseudo illusion like jane's powers that makes ur brain think ur being hurt physically but ur not. Thats why bella's shield works on kate's powers cos its not real physical electricity, the pain is psychically/mentally induced. Bella's shield only works on mental powers, thats why Bella's power is called Mental Shield.

@@mariadelacruz1153 While Kate's power is not a real electricity, Kate speciically says how she can only projects her power over her skin. Given how tight/limited her mental projection field is, there probably is a chance you could avoid her power by not being in contact with her "field" by wearing really thick clothings. Though at that point, you aren't even touching her due to all that extra clothings just to avoid being in contact with her power.
