I dont think she´s uncomfortable with who she is, in fact I find her incredibly authentic and confident. The reason why she doesnt talk about her preferences (I believe) is because she wants her privacy to be respected and she wants to be asked about her job instead of being surrounded by gossips. I personally would love to know more about her because shes really interesting but I understand that she wants to have her space and has to put a limit in order for her personal life not to be invaded

Yes, you understand her so much. I've been looked at her interview for recent days. And I found her said exactly the same thing to the host in an interview.

I find it completely ridiculous that Kate still claims to be straight, why on earth would she do such a thing when absolutely everythong about her screams 'gay'? And how hypocritical of her to say "everyone should be so comfortable with who they are" when she is clearly uncomfortable with who she is. It's sad that she is such a homophobe and obviously lacks the confidence to come out of the closet...it's hardly going to affect her career as she's already type-cast and only ever plays lesbians!

No, she didn't deny it, but, by the time she took the show she didn't know her sex orientation for sure. And she wanted some time for herself to figure it out(Later talked about this in an interview) . It's not her responsibility to put her thought in public and she does not want too much disccusion about her private life.
