I'm in a happy relationship now...but this song takes me back to the bathroom floor, crying, trying my best to breathe while clenching my chest, and also trying to be quiet while my daughter was sleeping in the next room...it had sunk in for me that my relationship had ended. I felt this song in my soul. Just beautifully tragic. ❤❤

"If I walk away, I'm scared I'll never see you again..." - really cuts deep You don't want to give up, because it could mean losing that person forever. "But I'm fighting for a memory I'm starting to forget..." But maybe they're already lost and you just can't accept it. I feel like this happens often between some good friends. Sometimes they just drift away, and before you know it, you're holding onto something that doesn't really exist anymore--and that you can't really remember. And, when it finally sinks in, it just hurts.

Have had a strained relationship with my parents for past years... My mother is 61 and my father, 71,...this song really hits hard. Been working slowly to rebuild our relationship because the reality of life and living without them definitely sinking in. Hug and love your loved ones. Being older now, I would hate to let anyone leave this world, or even just going seperate ways in life, not knowing I loved them.

I think most people can relate to this feeling at some point in their lives. That feeling of comfort is slipping away and you feel lost. You're identity is so intertwined in your significant other.....losing them feels like, losing yourself. Amazing and tragically painful all at the same time!!!

I lost my dad June 24, 2014, the last time I saw him was June 1st. 2014, I had a birthday party for him at my house, I had my sister, my 3 nephews, their girlfriends, my best friend( BUUDDY) their dog and my mom and husband. I was leaving for Calgary to visit my other sister then next day. My sister and dad didn't like my husband as he cheated on me in the past but had just started letting him back into the family fold, so having this party , at my house was the best day of my life. They didn't come to my wedding and because of a long ongoing health issue I could never have kids. So this was truly the best day, ever. We played kerplunk and perfection and ate Chinese food. Two days before I was suppose to come home from Calgary , I got a phone call that dad was in a coma. So I got the next flight home, sitting on a plane, crying my eyes out with all these strangers but everyone on that westjet flight was kind and attentive . So I went straight to the hospital and held his hand and said my goodbyes, he was in a coma so I dont know if he knew I was there or not. Listening to Katelyn's song, i feel like she gets me and many others. I wrote this letter for 2 reasons, to thank Katelyn for writing and singing such beautiful music and to remind others, tell people you love and care about them, forgiveness is POWER! Nobody is perfect, let grudges go, enjoy the small stuff. I hope everyone has a great life and never feels alone. PEACE TO ALL!!! I lost my Godfather 2 weeks ago, my dad's brother, I'm so glad he's not suffering anymore. I will miss you Uncle Dougy!!!
