There are people on the Internet saying that Emeraude is racist because she wore some braids and posted them on Instagram. I'm gonna tell something to that people: in south america racism, though existing, it's not as prominent as in the USA, so when you call someone a racist, you better have some valid strong points and not just a rant about how something is offensive when it shouldn't. Also, Eme was on a vacation in some caribean city, and in some of these cities, there are women at the beaches (black women to be exact) that offer her services to the tourists, one of this services are braids, so there is nothing racist on wearing them, is part of the experience. In my country, Colombia, we have a festival called Festival de Negros y Blancos, where we celebrate the diversity of our country, in this celebration, whites, blacks, and mestizos, paint our faces in black and white as a demostration that skin color doesn't matter, not anymore, this celebration clearly wouldn't work in america because some people would take it way out of context and make a big deal about it. Next time you call someone racist, please don't be because they wear braids or use some slang that should only be used by certain people, that only proves how out touch you are and you don't know what actual racism is like or what the real fights you should be fighting.
