I know that for myself I am more lonely than I have ever been. I'm elderly & disabled, both physically & mentally/emotionally (major depression/anxiety/PTSD). I recently moved back to my hometown, yet old friends & even relatives seem to have forgotten me. I can't blame them. I WAS gone a long time. Facebook sure, in person, nah. No-one stops in to check on me, no-one calls, or I should say that very rarely do I get a call that isn't business/sales/scam related. If they could SEE ME, they'd realize that when I say I need something, including friendship or companionship, I NEED it! Today "they" have allowed us to live longer, but for what? I don't want to "live longer" like this. It's NOT living, it's merely continuing to breathe.

I understand what you mean! I'm 75 years old, moved to a new state last year and still do not have friends. It just feels as if you are an "invisible person", so many people IGNORE the oldies! The only thing that preserves my sanity and comforts my heart is JESUS!! God bless you, I'm so sorry you're going thru this.

AND Skippy....Jesus died, was buried, sealed in a Roman tomb but rose afterwards where it IS recorded he was seen & preached to hundred And if that wasn't enough...he was seen ascending into Heaven. Well, I am going to call Kathie Lee out on this one ! I have battled Major Depressive Disorder for decades. I have an incredibly strong faith in God and Christ. HE has brought me thru the toughest of times but my MDD has never been "outed" by Christ and my Heavenly Father. HE has provided me with medicines, doctors and finally, a treatment after decades which seems to have definitely decreased my depression. Don't give people false hope that their depression will magically disappear by going to church.. God works in different ways with many many different people.

Faith, belong to a support group can make a difference. But it's no "magic bullet" for a large majority of patients. Because mental illness is an illness, or medical mental disorder. And let medical professionals handle, treat these diseases and disorders. Depending on the crimes or individual, outside ambulant in total freedom, or in a (partly?) enclosed psychiatric institution, outside or within a criminal detention center / hence prison....! We can't have complete dangerous wacko's making our streets dangerous either. Being strict and vigilant on crime helps reduce crime that is just a fact. Forced rehab in secure rehab centers from drugs addictions in cases of trouble making junkies who otherwise wouldn't make it 'out alive, is just a human, right thing to do. "They" will thank you for it afterwards when they are clean or sober. Or at least most of them former addicts will!

Well Kathy Lee, very well put, and I agree, if it where that simple. In my opinion I think there needs to be a “ shock” effect first, of what I do not know, but until people have a good swift kick in the spiritual butt, so to speak, their attention isn’t 100%, it’s at less then 10%!

God will provide all your needs. He loves all of us no matter whether we are rich or poor. Rich people don’t automatically get a free pass. As a matter of fact they have to be more vigilant (how did they make their money, do they share their wealth). No, we’re all the same to God and He promises to provide every need. He doesn’t lie. Thinking themselves wise they became fools and worship and served Christ instead of the creator. They cast this Christ stumbling block in front of the children of God by calling him Jesus. The Nazarene said they worship me in vain. Matt 24:5 Christians will come saying I am the Christ, they are deceivers do not follow them.

@@geraldboesen5037 there are two description of lonelyness one requires a psychiatrist and the other is a normal feeling that will eventually subside. Ex. People who usually are not lonely but are lonely now, it's because of the isolation of the pandemic and such the economy something you talk to a friend about. The other is a lonelyness that's a real symptom of something bigger. I'm lonely but still feel a sense of self and happyness. Im sad for our country and what Democrats ontop if the pandemic put us thru. Im sad that people can not afford to buy food, pay rent, I'm sad that people have spent their saving, college funds racked up credit and all Dems want to do is Sick the IRS on you. I'm not personally sad though.
