If I'm going to sail from Sweden to listen to Kathleen - so be it!

I wonder how many people see this and have no idea how hard it is to create such a tight, beautiful sound. That band just makes a "magic carpet" of perfect rhythm and groove for her to sing over. The whole thing is musically so darn excellent. And they are doing it in a little "bar band" size area. You CAN make sound like this in a portable setup if everybody plays with finesse and restraint. Super kudos to the drummer, who gives the song so much "drive", but doesn't have to bang so loud that he blows out the vocal mics.

Here I am again Listening to all of Kathleen’s albums in reverse order What an amazing treat going in and out of the office singing along behind my mask on a commute listened to her music This is a truly wonderful performance from one of the best artists around in my opinion Each album a gem of content that never falters, brilliant writing, brilliant playing and Kathleen’s amazing voice soaring above everything

After we watched this video today the engineers' wife who came by said she reminded her of Lucinda Williams in a way..that is a complement. I showed them Back to Me and then bass player said she could see Edwards covering 'Change the Locks" , one of Lucinda's original written songs.. keep the music coming ♪♪♪

Sounds alot like Expectations by Katie Pruitt, the vocals and the song stucture and the instrumentation, Telecaster guy playing the lead licks and Kathleen playing a Jaguar whereas Katie played a Jazzmaster. Don't know which came first, Glenfern or Expectations🤔 but hey it don't really matter, both awesome songs and performers for sure👍❤

She’s the best! I will say though, the Fender Jaguar, as cool a guitar as it is, does not hold up with its thwacky muddiness. I’ve never seen her play one until this video. She’s a stickler for sound…makes me wonder.
