Sorry if this is kind of dorky but the reason why stick foundations and liquid ones can't be compared is because they are actually different units. Stick foundations are in ounces as a measure of mass (ie weight, technically not exactly but for the reasons of this, yes), while liquid foundations are in fluid ounces which is a measure of volume. The two values are not comparable (unless you know the density of the product but that's just sillly). So you may get the same number of applications with a stick foundation as you do with a liquid. Stick foundation sizes should just be used to compare amongst stick foundations :D hope that helps make ppl feel better about buying "less" bc it's not really less :D

The hourglass one is actually more expensive than the Tom ford. with hourglass you get .25oz for $46, that would be $92 for 2 sticks (.5oz). and you get .5oz of Tom ford for $82. it makes sense to buy the hourglass if you like that one better, but if you like tom ford better or like them the same them Tom ford is actually the better deal.

Kathleen I love your videos! Just a suggestion, maybe add the name of the foundation to the video (like a caption) when you start talking about each new product. Sometimes I get distracted and have to skip back/forth in the video and that would be a great marker for finding my place again, and just to catch my attention when you move on to the next product!

Love watching as always. I just wanted to say one of my favorite looks you ever created was with the Kat Von D. eye shade and light palette using the cool tones and that beautiful periwinkle liner. I must point out that when you compare the foundations with the price and quantity you get, the Hourglass is way pricier than the tom ford one. Breaking it up to see how much you'd pay for 1 oz to actually compare prices. Anastasia - 25 -.32oz for 1 oz = 78.12 Lancôme - 42 -.31oz for 1 oz = 135.48 Hourglass - 46 -.25oz for 1 oz = 184 Bobbi brown - 46 -.31oz for 1 oz = 148.39 MUF - 43 -.44oz for 1 oz = 97.73 Tom ford - 82 -.50oz for 1 oz = 164 Wander beauty - 49 -.32oz for 1 oz = 153.12

Ok, so here are my notes on this video! JK, but I do wanna say about that foundation not sticking to your nose, I've had the same problem with just about every foundation I use until I started to use eyeshadow primer on my nose, and just barely graze the nose with whats left over of product on the beauty blender or brush😊 The other thing I'd like to point out is how classy you looked today! Well, you're always classy, but today! You slay classy! ❤️ I also love how you're still so grounded, I started subscribing to you when you were around 100 000 subbies, now look at you! ❤️

Rachael I never care about the breakdown. It takes so long for me to finish makeup, if ever, the breakdown is useless. It's like when people breakdown eyeshadow palettes. I have so many palettes I have never finished one. So yeah, I go by the total.

Foundation is different, though. A lot of people wear it every day. I've never seen the bottom of a blush or an eyeshadow but I have to repurchase foundation every few months.

I love how you're wondering why anyone would spend $80 on foundation 😂 Well for us Australians, if we want high end makeup, we have to cough up the money. I paid $80 for the hourglass immaculate foundation and then another $80 for the veil primer. Vanish is $67, which I also have. Too faced born this way is $57. Currency conversion sucks

I love this website called findation.com! You just plug in as many foundations that you know match you, and it gives you the name or number of the same shade in other brands!
