From the era of country music that told stories. Slowly, the CMA is recognizing storytelling in country music rather than pop crossovers. Love this and every song that came from this era.

Some singers' voices fade with age... and some sweeten. Kathy is the latter. Beautiful. This might be lost on some folks, but there were more than a few current or retired truck drivers in that audience. You can see the miles slowing drifting by in their eyes as they listened.

I've always loved this song. Real tearjerker. Very few new songs are so touching. And Kathy's voice is still lovely.

MY dad "Straight Eight" delivered brand new White/Volvos piggyback for almost fourty. He retired a few years early, bought a motorcoach called the Admiral and spent years taking my mom "Tag-A-Long" everywhere. They've finally settled down in FLA... But they still travel to Ohio once or twice a year to see Mom's 101 yr old mother "Gramma Jo" ** God bless the trucker man** -- "Kansas"

Grew up in Kansas and now live in TX my Grandfather was a Trucker and my uncle was a Wrecker, i absolutely have loved Kathy since she came in to the music business.
