Hi Crafty Friends!
I have a short video for you today and hopefully, it will change the way you use your die cuts when you have multiple colors of card stock. I don't like using anti-static powder on the back of tape when I group my die cuts together, so I found another way to keep like-colored dies together with tape and something you already have at home!
As I mention in the video, perhaps I've been hiding under a rock and many of you already do this, but I just tested it and love using my dies this way now. I don't really have a card tutorial to share but I have a card to show you using the new-to-me technique using these dies from Fantasy Flower from Alex Syberia Designs.
I wound up using just white card stock and used my new Ohuhu alcohol markers to color the floral die cuts. I used a beautiful glitter pen to color in the etched portions of the die cut pieces.

Hi Crafty Friends! A lot of folks are mentioning they have no clue what I’m talking about when I mention people putting powder on the exposed tape. A huge thumbs up on this! I don't mind powder but I do hate trying to keep track of all the fiddly die set bits. I try to do several cards at a time and those little pieces fall into unknown places, never to be seen again. This keeps them together for die cutting and you only have to do it once! No more lost pieces! Thank you so much.

Definitely not under a rock!! I saw somewhere the idea to use dryer sheets for the same purpose and didn’t like it since the chemical coating stained the dies and die cuts!! You are a genius 👏

Aw, thank you! I’ve used dryer sheets too, but that was to help the die cuts pop out more easily. I saw a video years ago with a die manufacturer who recommended that you not use dryer sheets, but instead use release paper designed for helping release intricate die cuts after they’re due cut. I was just looking for something to eliminate the stick of exposed tape instead of using a powder. 🥰

I’ve been card making about 2 1/2 yrs now & haven’t seen this method. Wish l’d of seen it yesterday as l spent all day cutting for a few different card designs. I’ve used parchment paper which helped on iddy biddy dies, but it goes everywhere & makes a huge mess. Your method is awesome for grouping dies & keeping them together after cutting. I wish more companies would group the tiny dies on one solid piece (as some have started doing), but your method here is awesome for giving the option to do this! Brilliant!
