I have been longing for this episode for so long. It was amazing. It hit me hard 💔 at first it was odd to see such a soft side of Negan’s character but it shows the humanity of his personality and him reaching a breaking point of the darkest side of his persona. I think it’s interesting when Negan told the biker leader about the event that cost him his job. How as he was savagely beating the poor bastard how everything he saw in that moment was red. It made me think about when Rick meet Morgan again and Morgan told him about losing his son, Duane and how he had to put him down. I remember what Morgan said, “I see red, I see red, everything I see is red and I do it!” It’s heartbreaking to see good people totally go off the reservation after a devastating loss.

I had / have a blog dedicated to him, I would livestream and live blog on tumblr lol, each episode, every week at 2am in the UK starting from the season 3 mid premiere when Daryl and Merle were in the fighting pit in Woodbury. I've met Steven Yeun twice, I first travelled to ATL walker stalker con in october 2016... literally Glenn's death episode aired the week before I was due to travel to ATL for the first time ever, and yet I'm sitting here, after everything, crying over the man who killed him. I'm not saying this to change anyones mind about the show or character but I have to give the writers / team props for making me feel this way after what happened back then because I NEVER thought this would happen. Not EVER. I wholeheartedly love Negan and have enjoyed his scenes the most (aside from Michonne). I NEVER thought I'd say that. But I do. I know a lot is down to JDM himself but there has to be something said to make someone go from vile hatred to sympathy / emptahy / understanding. I can't not applaud them for that. To make me care about the character who killed my favourite from day 1? Insanity.

Brilliant episode, incredible performances from JDM and Hilarie, you could feel their love as real life husband and wife embued in their roles here. A great origin story for Negan and I can't wait to see how the dynamic plays out between him and Maggie this season and what this will mean for everyone else. I have my own theories on that but can't wait for the first half of Season 11 in August (I'm right on saying it returns then yeah?). As always your reaction video is the first one I seek out after watching TWD and it always entertains Katie 😊

That restaurant those dudes had Negan and then the Doc tied up in is right up the road from the studio there in Senoia. We’ve been there many times for our Not Dead Family Reunions. That’s a Facebook group of fans and we go to Senoia to meet up every year and we usually use that same BBQ restaurant for our meetups because they have a karaoke stage (they have Negan tied up right in front of the stage) I noticed it when they were putting out promo pics of it months ago and I couldn’t wait to see it. If you ever want to go, you really need to try to get down there before they stop filming. I mean they’ve already burned down the windmill and it looks like they might not be filming the spin-off thing with Carol & Daryl….so who knows!! I’m glad we went and did the studio tour while everything was still up. Since then the Sanctuary is gone and Hilltop is gone as well. It sucked we weren’t allowed to take pics, but we got to see them very close up. This same restaurant was used before in the show, well the front of it was. It was right before Merle went to see the Governor that last time. He was sitting in a car drinking & kinda tormenting some walkers for a bit, then he just left afterwards to get to his meeting. The name of the restaurant is: Southern County Steakhouse & Saloon The address is: 34 Chestlehurst Rd Senoia, GA 30276 Number is: +1 (770) 599-9616 There are plenty of pics on Yelp of the food and the inside of the place and I think some of our members from our group may have videos of us there on KZfaq, I mean they used to. We had to change our location for our 2019 party because of a mishap and then 2020 happened so there’s that….they’ve also decided to wait another year even though I think the Fandemic convention seems to still be happening this year and that’s when we usually did the meetups (right before or right after) so everyone would already be in town. I mean we have people coming from everywhere to our little parties. We have trivia and tons of cool prizes donated from local shops etc… We love our group!! We are “The Not Dead Family” on Facebook. Even a bunch of the actors (the ones that are local) like the extras and people who have played walkers, whisperers and highwaymen etc… it’s an amazing group of fans and we’ve all become family. Hope to y’all at Fandemic Atlanta if they really keep it going in November and hopefully most people will be vaccinated by then so the photo ops can be mask free, fingers crossed! We still have our VIP tickets we bought right after they announced it before the Covid thing happened and they just rolled them over 2021. I guess if it doesn’t happen again they’ll roll us over to 2022 lol. I just want to be able to hug Norman & JDM again, even though JDM gave me the flu in 2019. In fact I think he gave me the worst case of the flu I’ve ever had, it was brutal! I got to hand it to him though, he was sick as a dog and still showed up that whole weekend. I wonder how many ladies got the flu from their photo ops with him lol?
