Caliendo's Giant "Wise Guy" Calzone Challenge

2 жыл бұрынTackling my very first Calzone challenge at Caliendo's Restaurant & Bar in Winfield, Illinois! Challengers of the giant "Wise Guy" Calzone have 30 minutes to finish a massive (roughly 4.5lb) calzone loaded with fillings of their choice in order to win their meal for free, a groovy t-shirt, and a spot up on the restaurants Wall of Fame! I went for the "mixed" option for this calzone, so mine was loaded with meat-sausage, mozzarella cheese, and loads of sautéed veggies. Hope you enjoy!

You should bring an instant read meat thermometer to get the temp right before you start the challenges.

Actually weird now that you mention thermometers. I havent seen anyone use a instant read thermo for making sure it isnt burn hot.

I'm always amazed at how the food seems to dwarf you at the start like it's larger than your body. How you manage to get it all down is amazing! 😲😄

I *LOVE* calzones and am sure I would LOVE this Wiseman Calzone, but doubt I could complete the challenge in the time allotted. I love watching you and Randy challenging each other on the same challenges.

As you kept mentioning the massive amounts of cheese, my thoughts were "Oh boy! She will be CONSTIPATED!". So glad you recognized that it'll slow down the digestive system 🤣 Your food consumption skills are beyond amazing!!

It's amazing. You and Randy both do the same challenges, sometimes with very comparable times, but you're like...a third of his size. I can understand how Randy does it - he's a giant. But with you - Where the hell does it go?! You have a pocket dimension in your belly or something. Get the physicists on this STAT lol. Good job, Katina!

I grew up in the Chicago area. In all of my travels, I haven't really found a better food city (especially in the USA). That calzone looks outstanding!
