For my first ever challenge in Singapore, I stopped into O.bba Jjajang to take on their Jumbo Jjajangmyeon Challenge Bowl! Hungry diners have only 15 minutes to finish a bowl full of 5 portions of their classic recipe! Winners earn $100 SGD, their $55 SGD meal for free, and a spot up on O.bba Jjajang's Wall of Fame!

I'm a 5'2 former women's physique bodybuilder on a mission to sample delicious foods from around the world! Jjajang is absolutely fantastic, I love the instant stuff, but making it from scratch is sooo much better, my husband and I could eat it for days! Looks delicious, you definitely killed this challenge!!

Awesome job finishing that big bowl!!! It's usually eaten with the yellow Pickled radish to cut through all that richness of the sauce and it acts as a pallette cleanser!

that was one tough challenge - especially with all that fat noodles and within the 15 min time limit . Jjajangmyeon is one of my favorite Korean / Chinese noodle dishes too. I would love to learn how Katina does it as I would fly to Vegas' buffets

JJ means fried sauce and myeon is the noodles part. the black beans are a specific family of soy bean that are actually black. So they ferment the black sauce bean into a paste to fry up into the sauce for the dish.
