First, flights aren't $500 for a family unless you're flying free or SUPER discounted as an airline employee. Tickets to Japan from US/Canada start at about $1200 per PERSON. Second, This is DisneySea not Disneyland Tokyo. We just got back a month ago, so I know the prices. Food in Japan, is cheap. Food in DisneySea Japan, is not cheap. Those Toystory dumplings are not $2, they are about $5. The Mickey Icepops are about $4. Second, there are no 6 BEDROOM suites at tokyo hilton near disney. It SLEEPS 6, which is VERY different, and the room starts at $946 a NIGHT. At least you got the admission tickets right at 50/30.

However, few things also took me back like the amount of people at the park was insane- I feel there were more people at Tokyo Disney Sea than any Disney I have ever been to, and also be aware that the sizes of the chairs on the rides are WAYYYYYYY SMALLER than the ones in America. If you are on the hefty side (I’m not saying obese but hefty) or even too chesty you may not fit on a seat or rides won’t properly secure on your chest unless you wanna squeeze them like pancakes for a couple of minutes and take away your opportunity to breast feed! 😂 but overall Tokyo Disney was awesome- would do it all over again!

God you guys went at an aweful time, tokyo disney sea right now being over crowded because of the new section. Having to wait at 3:30 am is insane. Last year my cousin, her kids, and I went and we arrived at the gates at around 8:30 am? Got to be close to the front in one of the lines. Though had to wait a bit because there’s people who pay extra to get in before everyone else.

Anything in the US is more expensive than Japan. You get more for your buck at Japan. Also countryside japan, worth even more for your buck.
